    • PURPOSE:To enable saw position to be set in a smooth operation and simple constitution by arranging in series a first pneumatic cylinder and a second pneumatic cylinder in the operative direction of projection of a circular saw, and regulating the operative range of projection of these first and second pneumatic cylinders. CONSTITUTION:By operating a first pneumatic cylinder 14 to the circular saw projection side, a circular saw 13 can be set on the suitable position for marking work. Since the circular saw in the marking position can be fine-regulated in the direction of projection by operation degree control means 17, the marking work can be effected at the most suitable position. In the operative condition of projection of the first pneumatic cylinder 14, when the second pneumatic cylinder 20 is operated to the circular saw projection side, the circular saw 13 can be set on the whole thickness cutting position. The circular saw 13 in the whole thickness cutting position can be fine-regulated by operating operation degree control means 26, so that the projection degree can be obtained that is suitable for the thickness of the work material. Inasmuch as the first and second pneumatic cylinders 14, 20 are arranged in series, they can operate without interfering with each other.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent the occurrence of cutting failure and the seizing of a circular saw due to an increase in cutting loads by constituting the title device in such a way that the cutting operation of the circular saw is automatically stopped when the thickness of a workpiece is thicker than the cutting thickness of the circular saw. CONSTITUTION:Provisions are made of a detecting means G adapted to detect the thickness of a workpiece on the basis of the amount of operational movement of a press plate 40 and of an instructing means H adapted to instruct the maximum cutting thickness of a circular saw. The output of the detecting means G and the output of the instructing means H are compared with each other by a comparing means L. According to this comparison result, the thickness of the workpiece with respect to the maximum machinable thickness of the circular saw is measured to prevent the cutting operation beyond the cutting capability of the circular saw. Thus, the cutting by the circular saw is controlled to stop its operation by an output signal based on the comparison result.

CONSTITUTION:When a contact plate 46 is turned from a retreated position as indicated by an imaginary line to a position as indicated by a solid line, the plate 46 is brought into close contact with the end surface 48 of a holder 39 under the action of a screw and held in a state free from play. The plate 46 is opposed to a scale 37 at the protruding position, and when the plate is caused to slide in the guide direction by loosening a fixing screw 40 of the holder 39, the plate can be set at a desired position according to the indication of the scale 37. And when the plate is turned from the solid line to the imaginary line position, the plate is moved apart gradually from the end surface 48 of the holder under the reverse action of the screw, so that the retreating operation from the surface of a table can be carried out smoothly by small forces.

CONSTITUTION:Under the condition that a worked timber W on a horizontal guide plate 3 is transferred along a work-table B or pressed against a table face by actuating a keep plate or the like, the rear face of the worked timber W comes into contact with the projected parts of a corrugated sheet (a), resulting in developing gaps, in which the tips of the finger can go, between the worked timber and the recessed parts of the corrugated sheet (a). Since the corrugated sheet (a) is pasted to the working domain or in the reach of the worker, by pulling his hand on the end of the worked timber by means of said gaps, the optimum part of the worked timer can be tightly grasped at all times. Thus, smooth and nimble work handling can be performed irrespective of large-sized timber, small-sized timber, thick or thin timber.

CONSTITUTION:When distances between spindles are set based on the reference of a spindle head A, second from left, the engaging pin 24 of the spindle head A at the most left side is removed out of a recess 22a, the spindle head A is moved leftward and the approximate distance between the reference spindle head A is measured while the movement is stopped when the value of the distance has arrived at a desired set value substantially. The engaging pin 24 is engaged with the recess 22a at this position. The above-mentioned moving and regulating operation of the spindle head is effected with respect to the other two heads A in the same amnner. The moving operation of the spindle head A is effected horizontally by the rolling effect of a direct guide bearing with respect to a direct guide and, therefore, the pindle may be set at a predetermined position smoothly and quickly by a light operating force. On the other hand, a clearance between rolling surfaces is small in a rolling system direct moving guide bearing and, therefore, a direct accuracy is maintained in a high accuracy at all times.

Since the air passage (a) is open toward the side part of the main shaft head A and the hollow room 40 is corresponding to the opening (c) in the horizontal direction, there is no rise more than the necessity on the passage of the chip and the discharging passage can be composed in the shortest distance.

When the outer diameter is smaller, the size of the notch can be made larger.

    • PURPOSE:To properly set a table attitude so as to obtain high productivity by a method wherein a tilting means, which tilts a table so as to lower this side and raise that side of the table and the clamping and unclamping operation of workpiece is performed on this side of the table. CONSTITUTION:At the cutting of workpieces W, a table main body 3 is positioned at the starting end on the direction of X-axis so as to actuate the pneumatic cylinder 7 of a tilting means A at said position. By the stretching action of a piston rod 8, a table plate 5 is tilted so as to lower this side and raise that side when seen from an operating position at the side of a frame. The raising of that side brings it closer to an operator, resulting in enlarging his operating range and allowing to facilitate the setting of workpiece. When the setting of workpiece ends, the piston rod 8 of the pneumatic cylinder 7 is contracted, resulting in bringing the table plate 5 into horizontal position in order to fix the workpieces W by suction with the vacuumizing means of the table main body 3. After that, by giving three-dimensional movements between the workpiece W and cutters 26 by numerically controlling them, the predetermined cutting is performed.
