    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem in which: in order to improve durability of a photoreceptor, it is required to achieve both improvement of mechanical characteristics such as abrasion resistance, and adhesion with a substrate and stabilization of electrical characteristics such as residual potential, sensitivity, and chargeability; phthalocyanine pigment is generally used as a charge generating material, and can improve adhesion of a photosensitive layer with a substrate, but has difficulty in suppressing an increase in residual potential and deterioration of an image memory; and therefore, it is difficult to achieve both improvement of the mechanical characteristics and stabilization of the electrical characteristics.SOLUTION: An electrophotographic photoreceptor includes a photosensitive layer on a conductive support. The photosensitive layer contains oxytitanium phthalocyanine having a main diffraction peak in the Bragg angle of (2θ±0.2°)27.2° in a powder X-ray diffraction spectrum using a CuKα characteristic X-ray, a metal complex or a metal salt of an aromatic carboxylic acid having a specific structure, and a charge transport material having a specific structure.
