摘要： A method of washing ware in an automatic institutional warewashing machine, using a cleaning composition containing a surfactant which eliminates the need for a surfactant in the rinse step. A surfactant is employed in the wash step in an amount not to exceed 15 wt% based on weight of the detergent. The amount of surfactant is sufficient to provide a layer of surfactant on the ware so as to afford a sheeting action in an aqueous rinse step without any added rinse agent.

摘要： Prior to adding detergent or chelant, the conductivity of water in a washing chamber is measured. The maximum concentration of hard water ions that could correspond to the 5 measured conductivity is determined, i.e., it is assumed that all of the conductivity is from calcium and/or magnesium ions in the water even though other ions may in fact be contributing to the measured conductivity. Enough chelating agent is added to the chamber to sequester this maximum concentration of hard water ions and the conductivity is measured again. Using the two conductivity measurements, the actual concentration of hard water ions 0 is determined. A chelant factor based on the actual concentration of hard water ions is then used to determine the amount of chelant to be added for subsequent wash cycles to sequester all of the hard water ions.

摘要： Cleaning and disinfectant compositions are provided particularly for use with hard surfaces. The compositions include hydrogen peroxide and an acid or salt thereof which is resistant to oxidation other than phosphorous based acids. Replacement of phosphorous based acids with acids of the invention results in improved hydrogen peroxide stability while maintaining or increasing the efficacy of cleaning and antimicrobial activity of the compositions. Typically, acids of the invention include substituted or unsubstituted carboxylic acids such as R 4 -C (R 2 ) (R 3 )-R 1 -COOH. Inventive compositions may further include surfactants, a chelating agent or sequestrant, a water soluble or water dispersible solvent, corrosion inhibitors and other adjuvants well known to those skilled in the art. There are further provided methods of use and methods of preparing inventive compositions.
