摘要： A black-and-white silver halide developer composition has been disclosed comprising, besides one or more developing agent(s), agent(s) preventing oxidation thereof and agent(s) providing pH buffering, at least one silver complexing agent, characterized in that said silver complexing agent has a silver complexing stability ratio of at least 70 % and, besides said silver complexing agent, at least one agent preventing silver dissolution characterized in that said agent preventing silver dissolution, if present in an amount of 50 mg/l of developer, makes silver content of the developer decrease in an amount of more than 50 % versus in the absence thereof, without loss in speed in an amount of more than 0.10 log Exposure after processing in said developer composition.

摘要： A substantially light-insensitive black and white thermographic recording material comprising a thermosensitive element and a support, the thermosensitive element containing at least one substantially light-insensitive organic silver salt, at least one organic reducing agent therefor in thermal working relationship therewith, a binder, at least one stabilizer and optionally an α,ω-alkyldicarboxylic acid with a straight chain alkyl group having at least 4 carbon atoms which may be substituted, however neither including 3,5-dihydroxybenzoic acid as acidic reagent nor di-tert-butyl-p-cresol as a sole organic reducing agent, characterized in that the at least one stabilizer is represented by formula (I):

摘要： A method for making a lithographic printing master is disclosed. The method comprises a step of providing a hydrophilic cylindrical surface, e.g. an aluminium plate mounted on the plate cylinder of a printing press, with an image recording composition by transfer from a donor material. The donor material comprises a support and a transfer layer which comprises hydrophobic thermoplastic polymer particles dispersed in a hydrophilic binder and a compound capable of converting light to heat. The transfer is obtained by friction between the donor layer and the cylindrical surface and/or by moistening the cylindrical surface with an aqueous liquid. The method is especially suited for on-press coating and on-press imaging in computer-to-press procedures.

摘要： A method for metallising solid substrates involves the use of non-equilibrium plasma treatment of a supported metal precursor layer. This technique can be used to make pure metal or alloy coatings. An oxidising plasma pre-treatment step of the supported metal precursor layer, or the incorporation of a plasma polymer coupling layer prior to metallisation, can result in improved adhesion. The method can be applied to the preparation of lithographic printing plate precursors.
