    • In a high-voltage compressed-gas switching chamber in accordance with the autocompression method, and having stationary double nozzles, it is intended to prevent electrical partial discharges (which occur during both switching on and switching off and reduce the dielectric strength of the contact gap) between the wall of the opening in the base of the compression cylinder and the conductive material nozzle. The invention achieves this object by making electrical charges of different polarity comparable and by charge equalisation. According to the one solution method, an electrically conductive filling material, for example graphite or metal powder, is added to the base of the compression cylinder, which is produced from insulating material, in the region of the opening in order to make the electrical surface charges and the electrical field caused thereby comparable. Said addition is expediently carried out such that the shape of a body of revolution is produced by the distribution boundary. In order to make the electrical field homogeneous, the soffit of the opening in the base of the compression cylinder can also be metallised. According to the other solution method, the gap between the soffit of the opening in the base of the compression cylinder is electrically short-circuited. For this purpose, a metal-brush-like device is fitted either to the wall of the opening in the base of the compression cylinder, or in the end region of the conductive material nozzle, in order to "wipe off" the electrical charges.

    • In a high-voltage switch according to the main patent application with the file reference P 3103373.3, a central drive housing is mounted on a supporting insulator and three switching units are mounted in the form of a star on this housing. In one embodiment variant of the primary idea of the invention: statically compensated arrangement, dynamically balanced drive of three switching units, these switching units are now placed on parallel axes in a tank, to be precise such that not more than two supporting insulators are required for their support and insulation with respect to earth. The three switching units are driven centrally by means of a common main drive. The switching units are connected thereto via in each case one switching rod. Electrically, the three switching units are connected in series such that the connecting pieces have a minimum length, which leads to the geometric shape of a lying "S".
