One of the primary polyurethane components, preferably an isocyanate, is fed axially into the mixing chamber (22) through a longitudinal hole (41) opening at the fore end of the cleaning member (27); moreover an annular seal (51) is provided on the cleaning member (27) in an intermediate position between the recycling zones (27A, 27B).

    • A testing method and apparatus for measurement of quantities of gas dispersed in a liquid, in particular nucleation air in a polyurethane component contained in a pressurized tank (14). In accordance with the invention a sample of the liquid to be tested, is draw from the tank (14) and fed into a testing cylinder (10) at the same pressure of the tank (14); the liquid sample is than compressed to a predetermined pressure value in the testing cylinder (10) and the quantity of dispersed gas is determined an referred to the atmospheric pressure by means of a suitable calculation algorithm as a function of the difference in volume caused by the compression.

    • A metering device for feeding liquids, in par­ticular chemical components for the production of polyurethane mixtures in a high-pressure mixing head.
      The device comprises at least a first (15) and a second (16) metering unit of the type hav­ing a cylindrical chamber (26) in which a plun­ger (25) slides to displace a pre-established volume of liquid during its stroke and to feed it to the mixing head (10). The plunger (25) is connected to a worm screw control device (27), in which the worm screw control devices (27) of the metering units are interconnected by a mechanical gearing (28) actuated by a driving motor (29); one or more revolution variators (30) can be disposed in the mecha­nical interconnecting gearing in order to vary the ratios between the speeds of the plungers (25) and, therefore, the quantities metered in relation to the stoichiometric ratios be­tween the liquids to be mixed.
