摘要： A dart gun for medicating or tranquilizing animals, which includes a barrel and a breech plug, the barrel including a bore defining a longitudinal axis extending from a muzzle end to a breech end, and the breech end including a breech plug chamber and a notch. The breech plug is removably engageable with the breech plug chamber and includes a plug member, an extractor, and a baffle member. The extractor provides convenient loading, firing and ejecting of a blank firing cartridge that is used to fire the dart from the barrel. The baffle rod provides for muffling the sound of the explosion of the blank firing cartridge, and reduces the amount of heat and flames that are exposed to the dart when firing the blank firing cartridge.

In order to transfer the ignition sequence in a simple fashion with few moving parts, the marker charge is arranged to be ignited by the jet of flame and powder gases generated by the firing of the practice round.

摘要： A caliber-reducing adaptor kit for a revolver having an original revolver barrel, and a cylinder with a chamber having a powder-receiving compartment at one end. A substitute barrel, having a reduced caliber bore, is received in and is detachably mounted to the original revolver barrel. A cylinder insert is removably received in the cylinder chamber between the substitute barrel and the powder-receiving compartment, the insert having a caliber bore substantially the caliber of the substitute barrel. The cylinder insert includes a plunger having a head at one end engageable with an end portion of the substitute barrel, and having a shank portion, the bore being provided in the plunger. A sleeve is slidably mounted on the shank portion of the plunger and is engageable with the cylinder adjacent the powder-receiving compartment. The sleeve is retained captive on the plunger shank portion, and a resilient spring is located between the sleeve and plunger, providing relative movement of the sleeve and plunger under resilient loading. The substitute barrel includes an elongate tube extending internally of and spaced from the original revolver barrel, the tube having opposed threaded ends. A tubular fitting is threadedly connected to each threaded end, the fittings adjustably engaging and clamping the tube to opposite ends of the original revolver barrel.

摘要： An automatic and semiautomatic small caliber conversion system for automatic or semiautomatic shotguns and rifles such as, for example, M-16 and AR-16 rifles, including a uniquely three element structure and associated ammunition feeding means to permit the use of smaller caliber, inexpensive ammunition in rifles and shotguns designed originally for larger caliber ammunition. The system includes a bolt/receiver assembly which easily replaces the bolt carrier of the, for example, M-16 rifle, and a magazine assembly which can be inserted by hand into any standard, for example, 0.223 round M-16 magazine. The bolt/receiver assembly is made up of three sub-assemblies, a receiver, a bolt, and a recoil spring. The receiver sub-assembly includes a section of a circle with a short barrel section in the front which fits into the M-16 chambers, a receiver lug at top rear to locate it within the M-16 chamber and prevent its rotary or linear motions and a guide rail. The bolt subassembly is cylindrical in shape, is guided by the adapter receiver guide rail and is encompassed by the M-16 receiver so that its only free movement is front to rear for ejecting and chambering cartridges. The recoil spring sub-assembly consists of a guide rod and spring. The spring is to return the bolt to battery after firing and also to hold the guide rod into a hole in the receiver lug. The recoil spring subassembly holds the receiver and bolt together as an assembly.
