    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low-load loss and low-noise labyrinth filter which has also high efficiency of holding suspended dust.
      SOLUTION: This filter is provided with at least two walls 2 and 3 facing each other, each with first passage holes 4 which are formed so as to rapidly change the direction of the flow of smoke. At least one of the walls 2 and 3 has two or more second passage holes 5 having a considerably smaller cross section of flow than that of the first passage holes 4. The first passage holes 4 and the second passage holes 5 divide the total flow passing through the filter into two ingredient flows which are divided by turns into two or more first macroscopic flows 6 passing through the first passage holes 4 on a labyrinth route, and two or more second microscopic flows 7 passing through the second passage holes 5.

    • PURPOSE: To make it possible to direct an oil/air mixture to a circulating stream induced by correct centrifugal force from a radial stream by constituting the bent baffle plates i.e., the first and second flow passage walls of a special shape aligned in an axial direction of a cylindrical wall. CONSTITUTION: This device is provided with the first flow passage wall 26 aligned in the axial direction of the cylindrical wall 14 existing in a tank as the baffle plate and the second flow passage wall 36 placed between the cylindrical wall 14 and the flow passage wall 26 within the tank in alignment to the same axial direction as the axial directions of these two walls. The first flow passage wall 26 is provided with a bent portion 28, a cap portion 30 and first and second ends 32, 34. The second flow passage wall 36 is provided with a bent portion 38, a cap portion 40, a base portion 42 and first and second ends 44, 46. The cap portion 40 and the base portion 42 are so formed as to interconnect the flow passage wall 36 and the cylindrical wall 14 and the cap portion 40 is so formed as to be spaced from the cap portion 30. Further, an inlet 20 for the oil/air mixture is so formed as to exist between the portion 40 and the portion 42.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent the leak of untreated exhaust gases from a filter and to enable a continuous operation of the title apparatus by arranging filters in multistage fashion in a passage of gas flow in a washing tower and making it possible to wash said filters during operation. CONSTITUTION:A washing tower 1 for washing exhaust gases using washing liquids and a filter 3 for removing mist, dust, etc., in the washed gases are provided, wherein the filter 3 comprises a plurality of filter segments 3a which are connected with each other in chainlike relationship. This chainlike series of filter segments extends across the passage of gas flow in the washing tower 1 and turns back to form an endless series of filter segments arranged in the form of two rows, forward and rearward ones, across the passage of gas flow in the tower 1. Further, the chainlike series of filter segments is moved by means of a rotary driving source 4, while the filter segments coming to a waiting position retracted from the passage of gas flow in the tower are washed and activated by means of a washing means 7 using washing water.
