    • PURPOSE:To prevent a danger of breakdown of an engine, by rotating a link counterclockwise to operate a rack in the direction for the reduction of quantity furthermore in a high-speed rotation region. CONSTITUTION:In a high-speed rotation region, hydraulic pressure from a pump 1 is increased considerably an acts upon the left face of a maximum speed limiting piston 11. Hydraulic pressure acting upon the left face of the piston moves the piston 11 to the right toward a needle 8 against a spring 14 having a large setting force which acts upon the right face of the piston 11. The throttle area due to an aperture 12 of the piston 11 and the tip of the needle 8 is reduced by movement of the piston 11, and hydraulic pressure in an oil path 6 between throttle valves 2 and 7 is increased rapidly. This increased hydraulic pressure acts upon the right face of a governor piston 15 and moves the piston 15 and a rod 20 to the left furthermore and rotates a link 19 counterclockwise. As a result, a rack is operated in the direction for the reduction of quantity furthermore.

    • Hydraulic speed governor of the variable-pitch propeller consists of the mounting flange (1) and body (2) containing the gear pump (3) with the driving wheel (4) and driven wheel (5). Fitted through the center of the driving gear (4) is the rotating slide-valve (7) with the supporting disc (9), centrifugal speed controller (10) and speed selector (11). In the axis of the driven wheel (5) is the reducing valve (15) whose sleeve (18) forms the shaft of the driven wheel (5), and the discharge channel (25) of the reducing valve (15) is connected with the internal inlet (26) of the gear pump (3) in the body (2). This configuration allows a significant reduction of the body weight (2) and therefore of the entire hydraulic controller weight and dimensions.
