摘要： Hand-operated signature printing stamp has, for example a name and address together with telephone number of the printing surface parts of which can be covered at will so that only selected portions of the information are printed down onto the receiving surface. The necessary isolation is achieved by means of adjustable intermediary layers (5) arranged in guides (3) in a housing (4). The slides (5) used to effect the movement are positioned in guides (3) arranged at right angles to the stamp surface. In a design variation the complete guide (3) is swivelable about a lower horizontal axis between neutral and operating positions.

A hand or other printing stamp has an inkimpregnated porous resilient type member, and an adjustable element to deform the periphery of the printing surface of the type member in any one or more desired positions. As shown a wooden handle 20 carries on its top 34 a correctly oriented print of a porous rubber relief type member 22 recessed in its other end and which is a squeeze fit in a flanged opening 27 in a thimble 25; a projection 28 in the thimble flange causes a print as shown in Fig. 11 with the circular or polygonal outer ring 31 indented at a point determined by presetting a mark 32 on the thimble beading 26 opposite the required position mark 33 on the handle according to the hour figures of a clock face. Instead of the projection 28 an outward bulge may cause a protuberance in the printed ring 31.
