摘要： A system, apparatus and method is described for dynamically boosting (increasing) the power supply voltage to an envelope tracking (ET) modulator within a transmitter system when the target/desired power amplifier voltage supply is above a predetermined threshold (e.g., equal to the available power supply of the system, such as a battery). By boosting the power input supply to the ET modulator, the modulated power supply provided to the power amplifier (PA) is also increased. This reduces or eliminates clipping that normally occurs when the target/desired PA supply voltage is greater than the available power supply voltage and reduces distortion in the transmitted signal.

摘要： Conventionally, when a transmission power amplifier is turned on, the battery voltage supplied to a transmission local oscillator momentarily drops and a phase error occurs in the carrier, deteriorating the modulation precision. A mobile communication terminal of the invention comprises a voltage detector for detecting the battery voltage when it drops, a correction phase storage unit in which information about correction phase which is inverse to the phase error of the carrier caused by the drop of the battery voltage, a correction phase output unit for selecting the correction phase information by using the battery voltage when it drops, outputting it to a baseband demodulator, and thereby changing the phase information of a baseband signal, and a demodulator for demodulating the carrier according to the baseband signal outputted from the correction phase output unit to cancel the phase error contained in the carrier.
