    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radiation measurement instrument which is capable of performing measurement with the resolution and accuracy of an up-down counter immediately at the time of vanishment of noise intrusion.SOLUTION: The radiation measurement instrument includes a waveform analyzer 4 for analyzing a waveform of a detector signal pulse and an arithmetic unit 11 for obtaining a count rate from a count integrated value from an up-down counter 7 and detecting noise intrusion on the basis of an output from the waveform analyzer 4 and is configured so that a count integrated value in a current operation period is replaced by a value in a previous operation period in response to detecting of noise intrusion and the count integrated value of the up-down counter 7 is set to a value in the operation period just before noise intrusion by an integrated value setting circuit 10 in response to vanishment of noise intrusion.

    • A method for determining a power source voltage level of a power source in a system in which the power source is connected to a microcontroller. A charging circuit is in direct communication with a pin of the microcontroller and the power source voltage level is determined by charging the charging circuit using a constant voltage level and determining a time when the charging circuit attains a voltage level sufficient to transition the pin of the microcontroller from a state corresponding to a logic “0” to a state corresponding to a logic “1.” The determined time and a predetermined relationship between the power source voltage level and an input port transition voltage value of the microcontroller is then used to determine the power source voltage level of the power source.
