The method includes attaching the locking body to an outer tube, configuring the outer tube and the inner tube to move with respect to each other in a telescoping manner, fitting a damper between an outer diameter of an inner tube and a locking body, and fitting the damper to frictionally engage the outer diameter of the inner tube and the locking body.

The adjusting mechanism includes a truck member secured to the door and having moving structure engageable with the track. A connector connects the truck member to the door and includes cam structure for adjusting a position of the door relative to the truck member, thereby adjusting a position of the door relative to the track. In one arrangement, the truck member supports an adjuster bolt, and a connector includes an offset aperture that fits over the adjuster bolt. A nut is engageable with the adjuster bolt to secure the connector to the truck member. A position of the door in the track is adjusted by simply rotating the connector.

This hinge protects docks from being damaged by stress exerted by the side to side or up and down motion of the wave, storm or high winds. This hinge can also be used for reconstructing old damaged docks. The hinge comprises two stackable sheet of twisting members which are preferably flat, each having an arcuate front end for facilitating a twisting motion of the twisting members relative to each other, a mounting plate, and a central opening for accomodating a pivot rod; a fastener for keeping the hinge components together; and, preferably washers to protect the outside surfaces of the twisting members from abrasion. One side of the hinge preferably attaches to a dock section having a dock joint bracket while the other end preferably attaches to a plain corner bracket to allow vertical pivotal movement of the dock sections in response to wave motions. A cover is provided if a gap is formed by the space occupied by the hinge.

Typically a number of adjustable slide block assemblies are utilized each including a slide block of a low friction material (or a wheel on a shaft with a ball bearing mount) and a panel mounting element, the position of the slide block being adjustable with respect to the panel mounting element in a dimension non-aligned with the dimension of the elongation of the tracks. The slide block assembly typically includes an adjuster track including a nut-receiving channel, and removably connected to the slide block, an elongated substantially rectangular prism nut received in the nut-receiving channel; and a number of guide surfaces on the panel mounting element, and cooperating guide surfaces on the adjuster track so that the adjuster track is slidable with respect to the panel mounting element and nut to adjust the position of the panel mounting element with respect to the slide block; and a screw engaging the nut and movable from a tightened position in which the adjuster track is prevented from moving with respect to the panel mounting element, to an adjusting position in which the adjuster track can be moved with respect to the panel mounting element.

摘要： Disclosed is a front-mounted hinge for mounting a door to a vehicle structure. The hinge includes a housing, a translating base, a hinge strap, and a cover assembly. The housing mounts to the exterior surface of the vehicle structure, and the hinge strap mounts to the exterior face of the door. The translating base is slidably mounted to the interior surface of the housing. The translating base moves relative to the housing between an abutting position, in which the translating base abuts a mounting plate of the housing, and an elevated position, in which the translating base is moved away from the mounting plate. The hinge strap is pivotally connected to the translating base so that when the hinge strap is pivoted, the translating base is caused to move between the abutting and elevated positions and the door moves between closed and open positions.
