    • A front door device for a vehicle may include a front door, an upper rail mounted to the front door in a width direction, an upper slider inserted in the upper rail to support the upper rail, a lower rail mounted to a vehicle body, a lower slider inserted in the lower rail and movable along the lower rail, an upper support structure having one end connected to the upper slider and the other end mounted to the vehicle body for supporting the upper slider, and a connection structure for connecting the lower slider to the upper rail. The front door device permits the front door to be opened by sliding it forward in the length direction of the vehicle.

    • A system may include a door track, a guide mechanism, and a sequencing mechanism. The door track is mounted to a door. The guide mechanism connects the door to a vehicle body. The guide mechanism may include a first member connected to the door track and a second member connected to the first member for rotation relative to the door track. The first member is movable relative to the door track. The second member may engage a body track in the vehicle body and may be movable relative thereto between a first and second ends of the body track. The sequencing mechanism may include a third member locking the first member relative to the door track when the door is between the intermediate and closed positions and a fourth member locking the second member relative to the body track when the door is between the intermediate and fully open positions.

    • A self-contained closure and closure frame assembly are easily mounted in the cabin of a boat, requiring minimal disturbance of the boat structures. The closure requires a minimum of space during movement from a closed to a fully open position, the closure first being moved outwardly generally parallel to the cabin, by pivoted levers, to an initial open position, and then slid to a fully open position. Slide tracks are provided in the closure itself, and they cooperate with slide mechanisms pivotally connected to the closure frame. A series of levers and interlock elements insures proper and secure pivotal movement of the slide mechanisms between closed and initial opening positions, and does not allow sliding movement of the closure until it is substantially in the initial open position. Sliding movement is positively guided to substantially prevent skewing in any plane as the closure is slid open with respect to the frame.
