摘要： Disclosed is a shock-absorbing barrier. According to the present invention, the shock-absorbing barrier is configured wherein guardrails onto which shock-absorbing members like waste tires or waste rubber are mounted are attached to barrier walls and pillar bodies made by attaching pillar tubes to pillars are connectedly erected by means of the barrier walls on which the guardrails are mounted, so that if an external collision occurs, rotary rods are changed to a shape of a cone around the axis of the pillar tube rail to extend a shock-absorbing section, and the external collision is distributed by the compression and tension of both side rails to decrease the deviation displacement of the barrier wall boundary and to allow the pressure of the collision portion to be distributedly absorbed to the parts connected by the guardrails.

摘要： A highway crash attenuation system having W-beam rail elements attached to a plurality of vertical posts. An impact terminal with a feeder chute guides one or more of the W-beam rail elements through the impact terminal. The feeder chute has an impact shield extending along a traffic-facing side of the chute from an upstream-most end to a downstream-most end of the chute closing the traffic-facing side of the chute. The system also has an anchor cable release mechanism for releasing the cable downstream of the first vertical post and an improved first breakaway post.

摘要： The crash cushion includes: a rail installed on the ground surface; a front support that is installed on a front end of the rail and is pushed backward along the rail when a shock is applied to the front support; a rear support installed on a rear end of the rail; and a shock absorber that is installed extending from the front support to the rear support and disposed at a predetermined height from the ground surface. The shock absorber includes a punch and a pipe, and it absorbs shock in such a way that the pipe is expanded in diameter by the punch. The crash cushion is installed on a road and can effectively absorb shock caused by a vehicle collision.

摘要： A vehicle crash barrier constructed primarily of structural tube members having an energy-absorbing connection between horizontal rail members and vertical post members. Horizontal rail members are provided with one or more deformable flanges adjacent to each end to be connected to a vertical post member. Vertical post members include a channel adjacent a top end for receiving the rail end and flange. The rails are connected to the vertical members by downwardly sliding the flanged end into the vertical channel until the rail rests upon a bottom stop. A reinforcing cap is positioned on the top end of the vertical member to prevent upward movement of the rail and to strengthen the vertical post structure. Shims may be installed between the flange and the channel walls to limit horizontal rail movement.

The positioning or spacer block is a generally rectangular block having corded-out cavities to reduce weight and tabs or projections for cooperatively engaging the sides and top of a support post as well as the edges of the guardrail during roadway safety barrier system installation. Webbing within one or more of the cavities is used for additional structural support. The spacer block may be formed by low-pressure injection molding to optimize the strength to weight characteristics of the spacer block. The spacer block is formed from virgin and/or recycled plastic material and/or includes virgin or recycled rubber material, such as that obtained from the regrind of used tires, and/or another elastomeric materials from other sources.
