    • An air passage open/close device includes a casing having an air passage, and a sliding door having a board member slidably located in the casing so as to open or close the air passage. The casing has a guide groove for guiding a movement of the board member. The guide groove has an upstream wall extending in a moving direction of the board member at an upstream side of the board member in an air flow direction, and a downstream wall opposing to the upstream wall at a downstream side of the board member in the air flow direction. The board member is configured to be elastically deformed when the board member is arranged in the casing.

    • The present invention relates to a method for operating an electronically controllable brake actuation system for motor vehicles and a device for implementing the method. The system comprises a non-pressurized pressure fluid supply reservoir, a pressure source actuatable by an electronic control unit, whose pressure can be applied to wheel brakes of the vehicle, a device for detecting a driver's request for deceleration, as well as valve assemblies inserted upstream of the wheel brakes and connecting the wheel brakes optionally to the pressure source or the pressure fluid reservoir. To increase the operational or functional safety of a like system, according to the present invention, an electronically controlled procedure step is provided regarding the removal of contaminants contained and/or dissolved in the brake system, in particular in the pressure fluid. A device for implementing the method is equipped with a means for the electronically controlled removal of contaminants contained and/or dissolved in the brake system, especially in the pressure fluid.

    • A damper or door plate construction and mount which is adapted to in situ assembly including a core plate of sheet plastic, a thin covering of porous foam material on each side, and a mounting shaft on a pivoting axis for the damper. The mounting shaft is secured at each end within the confines of the plate by tabs cut from the core plate and formed to provide a retaining recess for the shaft. The shaft has a loop between the ends forming a bight on the plane of the damper plate. A retaining member has a head and shank which fits the bight of the shaft and locks it against movement longitudinally, laterally, or away from the plate. The retaining member is held to the plate by a snap-in projection. A method of forming multiple plates from a large composite sheet is described.
