    • [Problem] To provide a motor having an insulator capable of reducing the occurrence of a phenomenon wherein because of operation of a motor the outer peripheral wall of the insulator falls inside toward a winding drum portion due to changes with the passage of time. [Solution] In a motor having a rotor and a stator, a conductive wire is wound around the stator over a substantially cylindrical stator core and insulators (20). The insulators (20) are disposed oppositely at both end faces of a stator core in the axial direction, and are in contact with the end faces of the annular yoke of the stator core. The insulators (20) include: an annular outer peripheral wall (21) having the conductive wire wound on the outer peripheral surface thereof; a plurality of winding drum portions (22) which projects radially inward from the outer peripheral wall (21) for the conductive wire to be wound therearound; and inside flange portions (23) rising in the axial direction from each inside end of the winding drum portions. The outer peripheral wall (21) has a flat portion wherein the inner peripheral surface of the outer peripheral wall (21) on the winding drum portions (22) side is orthogonal to the projecting direction of the winding drum portions (22). The outer peripheral surface of the outer peripheral wall (21) near the winding drum portions (22) has an arc-like shape. The closer to the circumferentially central side of the winding drum portion (22), the greater the thickness in the radial direction of the outer peripheral wall (21).

A retaining means is formed on the conduction plate (60) and the outer wall (20), said retaining means for retaining the state in which the first contact part (61) is in contact with the side surface of the counter-output-side bearing housing (520).
