    • A card connector in a U shape for receiving a card in a slot of the U shape and electrically connecting a connector portion provided in a bridging portion of the U shape with a mating connector portion of the card, has an ejector for ejecting the card from a connecting condition between the connector portion and the mating connector portion. The ejector comprises an eject plate slidably mounted on the card connector and having engaging fingers for pushing the card. A lever is rotatably mounted on the bridging portion and is engaged with the eject plate to permit the eject plate to rotate relatively to the lever so that rotation of the lever makes the eject plate slide to push the card by the fingers. The eject plate and the lever have a stopper which, upon further rotation of the lever, preventing further relative rotation of the eject plate to cause rotation of the eject plate together with the lever so that the card is further moved so as to insure the complete ejection of the card.

    • In a components mounting apparatus, so-called mounting tact time per a single electronic component is shortened. The components mounting apparatus in which a large number of electronic components are transported from a components supplying region where a plurality of components supplying apparatuses are arranged with the large number of electronic components stored thereinto to a components mounting region in which a board is arranged with the electronic components mounted on preselected mounting positions of the board thereon is comprised of: components gripper for individually gripping the electronic components; and a tool head on which a plurality of components gripper are mounted and which is movably provided between the components supplying region and the components mounting region. The components gripper is supported movably in the upward and downward direction with respect to the tool head, and moves up and down for gripping or releasing the electronic components when positioned to a preselected position in the tool head. The tool head is provided rotatably in the forward and reverse directions so that the tool head is rotated for selecting the components gripper and positioning the selected components gripper to a preselected position.

    • A release mechanism comprises an ejector formed on a frame member to be movable forward and backward, and a lever rotated in response to a forward movement of the ejector to release a mating connector from conductive contacts. The ejector is located in an opening of the frame member in a normal condition in which the mating connector is inserted in the from member. The ejector is protruded outside the opening only start of releasing operation of the mating connector. The ejector has a first mode enabling a predetermined forward movement and a second mode disabling the predetermined forward movement. The release mechanism further comprises members for cancelling the first mode and putting the ejector into the second mode after the mating connector is released from the conductive contacts, and members for restoring the first mode of the ejector from the second mode in response to an external operation of the ejector while the mating connector is connected to the conductive contacts. The ejector is turned from the first mode into the second mode at the time instant immediately after the mating connector is released from the conductive contacts.

    • A process for automatic fusion welding of rails by a combination of submerged arc welding and electroslag welding, comprising a root run for welding a rail base by submerged arc welding and, without interruption of the welding, subsequent runs for welding the rail base and welding a region from a rail web to a rail head by electroslag welding; wherein, during all of the runs, a metal mold is mounted on an upper surface of the rail base and a metal shoe is mounted on the metal mold to prevent an outflow of molten slag and molten metal and, during all of the runs, welding is performed by using a DC welding transformer having constant potential characterisitcs, a filler-wire having a diameter of from 1.2 to 2.0 mm, and a fused-type flux. The inventive process avoids the use of different fluxes and an alteration of welding machine conditions during the whole sequence of welding from the rail base through to the rail head.
