    • The current invention creates a financial structure has two distinct components. The first component of the structure is that it allows an investor to pay for, or exchange for, partnership interests with something other than cash, including low basis securities, defined as any security that has large unrealized capital gains, and/or Restricted Stock, as defined by Rule 144 of the Securities Act of 1933/34, as amended. The second component of the structure is that the partnership operates under a “Preservation of Principal” concept in which some or all of the investor's capital contribution to the partnership is protected from financial risk. This mitigation of risk is created using a portion of contributed funds, before the application of proceeds. The manner of protection is accomplished at the time the partnership either monitizes or uses the contributed securities as collateral. The techniques of Preservation of Principal may include, but are not limited to, the use of sophisticated option strategies, combination positions that may include shorting stock “against the box” coupled with the purchase of discounted securities, or other hedged, or arbitraged positions that provide protection to the investor's capital contribution in the event of project failure.

    • A panel mounted low profile rotary switch (100) contains a detent mechanism (120) mounted in a bushing (110). In a preferred class of embodiments, the detent sub-assembly comprises a single spring (220) positioned in parallel within the vertical extending shaft (130). The force exerted by the spring is manually adjusted by a set screw (210) to provide the desired downward applied vertical force on a plunger (230). The plunger, preferably a pointed cylinder, applies pressure to detent balls (240) causing the detent balls to move radially outward and engage rotor cams located on the inner surface of the detent mechanism.

    • A system for detecting anomalies includes a first hardware system and a first run-time environment. The first hardware system generates outputs. The first run-time environment has a bi-directional link to an integrated development environment. The first run-time environment includes a first control system, a first diagnostic agent, and a second diagnostic agent. The first control system controls the hardware system through control inputs to the hardware system. The first diagnostic agent detects anomalies in the hardware system. The second diagnostic agent detects anomalies in the control system. A method of detecting anomalies in a system including an integrated development environment and a run-time environment bi-directionally linked by a link includes partitioning the run-time environment into at least one operational region; learning normal operating behaviors within the operational region; monitoring current operating behaviors within the operational region during operation of the system; comparing the current operating behaviors to the normal operating behaviors; detecting anomalies when a deviation exists between the current operating behaviors and the normal operating behaviors; tracing the anomalies back to the integrated development environment; and identifying the anomalies in the integrated development environment based on the tracing of the anomalies.

    • A system and method for building GUI screens for a time keeping and expense tracking system includes a time keeping and expense tracking (TKET) server that includes computer instructions that define logic for building GUI screens according to user definitions, communication channel throughput capacity, and terminal capacity. Initially, the TKET server examines a user's ID to determine his group affiliations and ability levels for modifying the parameters, objects and layout of a GUI screen. Thereafter, the TKET server allows the user to make changes according to his defined abilities. In one embodiment of the invention, the TKET server is operable to act as a remote time clock. Accordingly, the TKET server is formed to receive and interpret signals that define the user ID, an account code, and whether a start or stop timekeeping event has been selected. Thus, by way of example, a user may dial a specified number and may respond to, either questions generated by an IVR or to text generated by the TKET server to enter his ID, his account code, and whether he is selecting for the timekeeping function to start or stop. The TKET server then tracks time and stores the user time entries according to user ID, and according to account code. The TKET server further is operable to generate reports totaling the same. The TKET server also generates GUI display screens in a format representing tabbed index cards wherein the displayed tabs represent organizational information for which the user has atomic abilities to access the information.
