    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal spraying apparatus capable of effectively preventing the sticking of thermally sprayed fume to a site of a bore surface where is not thermally sprayed yet in arc thermal spray.
      SOLUTION: The thermal spray apparatus 10 possesses a thermal spray gun 6 moving in the cylinder bore. The thermal spray gun 6 has, on its end, a first discharge port (atomizing nozzle 62) one end facing the direction crossing the movement direction at a right angle, a second discharge port (assistant nozzle 63) facing the direction crossing the nozzle 62 at a right angle, and a third discharge port for discharging fluid (fume sticking preventing nozzle 65) facing the same direction as the nozzle 62 at a prescribed site on the moving direction side of the thermal spray gun 6 relative to the nozzle 62. A molten droplet formed by melting an arc thermal spraying wire rod on the thermal spray gun 6 is drawn by assistant air A1 and atomizing air A2 is blown on the droplet to form the thermal spray particle and the thermal spray particle is sprayed on the bore surface and fume sticking preventing air A3 is jetted to the cylinder bore surface with synchronized spray of the thermal spray particle.
