摘要： A distributed caching and redistribution system, method, and mobile client for caching and redistributing data content in a wireless data network. The system enables mobile clients to cache data content that has been distributed by means of broadcast or multicast, and to redistribute the content from the cache to other users. Using anycast techniques applied to the PLMN, a user who wants to retrieve data that was distributed earlier locates the nearest user that has the content available, and asks the nearest user to forward the content. The “nearest” user may be the closest user, but may also be the optimal user from a Quality of Service (QoS) point of view.

摘要： A method for the provision of a defined quality of service in a packet switched communication system with interconnected nodes (N) for the forwarding of data packets is described. The system comprises at least one edge node (EN) for the connection to user equipment (UE) or a further communication system (FS) and for processing data packets. The packets comprise a data field (10) specifying the handling of the packets and the nodes (N) perform a differentiated handling of packets according to said data field (10). The communication system comprises or is connectable to a data base (DB) which contains a record for a user specifying a quality of service. An edge node (EN) which processes a packet for said user is provided with quality parameters from the data base (DB). The edge node (EN) sets the data field (10) specifying the handling of the packet according to the record. Devices and programs to perform the method are also described.

摘要： The invention relates to a method, network node, router, serving node and system for performing multicast in a point to point oriented telecommunication network. The basic idea is to introduce multicast transmission for parts of a network that is basically point-to-point oriented. This is done by creating transport multicast group tunnels between a router and a serving node in order to transport the multicast data. This invention describes the application of multicasting in point to point networks, such as UMTS with a scarce number of resources. In a mobile environment like in UMTS the idea could be implemented by using IP multicast for efficient transmission in the IP network between the SEGSN and GGSN for example on the Gn interface.

Using this functionality the conference system is to be included into the ongoing streaming session, shall invite additional members and forward the streaming traffic to them as well.
