    • PURPOSE:To provide a gas detector which is stable and realizes high precision, enables the detection of gas having low concentration, and can detect several kinds of gases at a time. CONSTITUTION:Output of a light receiving device 5 which receives optical beam B1 is divided into the lights each having wavelength lambda0 to lambdan by a wavelength selection light divider 8, and reference light having wavelength lambda0 and each component of wavelength lambda1 to lambdan which is light absorbing wavelength of measured gas G1 to Gn are supplied to a wavelength synthesis device 11 via an optical fiber 7 and dummy fibers D1 to Dn, respectively, to synthesize wavelength. On this occasion, each component of wavelength lambda1 to lambdan is delayed by dummy fibers D1 to Dn by delay time t1 to tn. Next, levels of detection signals which correspond to each wavelength lambda0 to lambdan are detected sequentially, and presence and concentration of the measured gas G1 to Gn are judged at a time in accordance with each level in a signal processing circuit 9.

    • PURPOSE:To measure the combustion rate of city gas continuously by distribution the rate of total amount of carbon hydride other than methane into butane and propane depending on whether the flammable gas which is mixed for adjusting the amount of heat is butane or propane and then calculating the index of a specific combustion rate according to each ratio of gases whose combustion rates are to be calculated. CONSTITUTION:A hydrogen sensor 4 and an oxygen sensor 5 are installed at a measurement line 3 and an infrared ray type gas sensor 6 is constituted at the downstream side. Each ratio of gases whose combustion rates are to be calculated which are measured by the sensor 4, 5, and 6 is input to an operation means 1 utilizing a microcomputer etc., thus obtaining an index MCP of combustion rate. The ratio between butane and propane is set to the operation means by a setting means 12 according to whether a flammable gas to be mixed by adjustment of amount of heat is butane or propane. Therefore, the operation means 11 allocates the total amount of carbon hydride other than methane measured by a carbon hydride sensor part 10 to butane and propane and then the index of a specific combustion rate is calculated from each ratio between these and other gases whose combustion rate to be calculated.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flow measuring apparatus in which an error caused by compressional waves or flow waves is not picked up by a measuring sensor, even when the compressional waves or the flow waves such as pulsations or swells are generated in a fluid as a measuring object, and by which a flow rate can be measured always precisely. SOLUTION: A fixation end member 20 which is e.g. in a check valve shape or the like used to form a node as a wave motion by the compressional waves or the flow waves such as the pulsations or the swells generated in the fluid such as a gas or the like, as the measuring object is installed on the downstream side (or also the upstream side is possible) of the measuring sensor 3. The node (a state that a vibration displacement as a longitudinal wavelike wave motion is nearly zero) by the compressional waves or the flow waves in the fluid as the measuring object is formed in a position in which the member 20 is installed.
