    • A connecting structure of a connector includes: a first connector having a housing for containing a plurality of terminal metal pieces connected to a plurality of wires, a shield shell including a hood portion projected to a front side and surrounding the housing, and a shield member connected with the shield shell and surrounding the plurality of the wires; and a second connector capable of being fitted to the first connector, the second connector having a housing capable of containing a plurality of terminal metal pieces and capable of being fitted to the housing of the first connector and a shield shell surrounding the housing.     • A substrate inspection apparatus includes a first waveform measurer which acquires a first amplitude waveform that is the amplitude waveform of an AC voltage obtained from a semiconductor of a semiconductor substrate which is being inspected when an external AC power source is connected to the semiconductor and an AC voltage from the AC power source is applied to the semiconductor, the semiconductor substrate also having an interconnection that is supposed to be connected to the semiconductor; a second waveform measurer which is connectable to the interconnection of the semiconductor substrate and acquires a second amplitude waveform that is the amplitude waveform of a voltage in the interconnection when the AC voltage is applied to the semiconductor; and an evaluator which calculates the phase difference between the first amplitude waveform and the second amplitude waveform and extracts information on a defect of the semiconductor substrate on the basis of the thus-calculated phase difference.

    • An abutment rib of a first connector portion compresses a coil spring, mounted in a second connector portion. If the connector is released prior to complete and proper electrical connection, the connector portions are moved away from each other to visibly and clearly indicate an incomplete or inadequate connection. When the connector mechanism is properly fitted, retaining projections of lock arms positively engage retaining holes in a hood portion, thereby maintaining the connector portions in a locked and properly fitted, electrically connected condition against the bias of the coil spring urging the abutment rib. Therefore, only when the connectors are properly and completely fitted together, and are prevented from withdrawal, is a proper electrical connection indicated and achieved. The connector mechanism clearly indicates an electrically-connected condition, thereby preventing a half-connected condition.

    • A connector of an electrical connector assembly includes a housing defining a pair of parallel cavities extending therethrough, and a partition wall partitioning the cavities from one another. A leakage-prevention plate having a finlike configuration is interposed between the open ends of the two cavities. Thus, the path of least resistance between terminal fixtures within the respective cavities extends over both surfaces of the leakage-prevention plate. For this reason, the value of leakage current between the fixtures retained by the same connector will be extremely small, and the electrical corrosion of the terminal fixtures will be reliably suppressed. Furthermore, the leakage-prevention plate may possess a high degree of water repellency by being formed of an oil-impregnated resin in which particles of lubricating oil are dispersed within synthetic resin and/or by having the surfaces machined to a mirror finish. This prevents a continuous band of water from developing between the two terminal fixtures. The above structure may be applied to a male and/or a female connector of the connector assembly.
