摘要： A method is disclosed for enabling device-to-device, D2D, communication when a communicating device is out of public land mobile network, PLMN, coverage for a first radio access technology, RAT. The method comprises scanning a carrier associated with a carrier predetermined for D2D communication for any signals, and if the scanning determines that D2D communication is present on the carrier, initiating out-of-coverage D2D communication, or if the scanning cannot determine that D2D communication is present on the carrier, determining a signal strength of other signals on the carrier and if the signal strength is below a threshold initiating out-of-coverage D2D communication. Alternatively, the method comprises scanning a carrier for at least a second RAT, and if a second RAT is detected, determining a PLMN of the detected RAT and accessing data on the determined PLMN about out-of-coverage D2D permissions, and if out-of-coverage D2D communication is permitted in the determined PLMN initiating out-of-coverage D2D communication. A communication device and computer program accordingly are also disclosed.

摘要： An inventive UE carrier aggregation (CA) capability reporting signalling model allows UEs (30) aggregating large numbers of component carriers to transmit CA-relevant capabilities to the network more efficiently than the current (legacy) signalling model. Rather than reporting CA/MIMO/CSI/NAICS capabilities separately for each supported band combination, including fallback configurations, embodiments of the present invention either report UE Radio Frequency (RF) and Baseband (BB) related capabilities separately, or report them disassociated from CA band configurations. This approach avoids the need to signal the full UE (30) set of capabilities for each of (possibly many) supported band combinations. Furthermore, fallback capabilities are signalled implicitly, eliminating the need to transmit this data.

摘要： Methods and arrangements for reporting of measurement information from a user equipment to a receiving entity via a network node comprised in a wireless communication system are disclosed. The embodiments relate to measurement logging function and immediate reporting function called Minimizing Drive Tests (MDT). The problem of reporting measurements in another RAT than in the RAT in which the measurements were collected in is addressed by a solution where a UE includes the measurement information collected in a first RAT in a message which is sent 36 to a network node in a second RAT. The network node then forwards 37 the message to a receiving entity without having to decode the actual content of the measurement log. This is done by introducing the receiving entity's IP address and/or similar addressing information in an address field in the message and using a container structure where the actual measurement log as reported by the UE is placed. The container need not be understandable by the network node and could be of a message format used in the RAT where the UE collected the measurement log. Thus, there is no need to reformat the measurement results.

摘要： A method in a user equipment for handling cell selection is provided. While in dedicated mode the user equipment receives from a radio network node a measurement information message which indicates at least two frequencies associated with a respective cell in a respective radio access technology. While it is in dedicated mode, the user equipment performs measurements on the frequencies to obtain a respective measurement value for each one of them, and receives a selection indicator message comprising a respective priority for each one of the frequencies. The user equipment obtains a respective threshold value for each of the frequencies and successively evaluates the frequencies in descending priority order until a frequency is determined for which the measurement value exceeds its respective threshold value. When entering idle mode, the user equipment selects cell based on the evaluation.
