Thus, on the sliding surface 4A, a large number of annular swelling parts 7' and recessed parts 8' are formed in positions of the respective circles 6, and a lubricating oil passage 10' composed of a mesh-like recessed part is also formed. A quenching part is formed of the large number of annular swelling parts 7'. The annular swelling parts 7' are formed so as to become 0.3 to 0.8 in a rate at which the total area of the whole annular swelling parts 7' is occupied in the area of the sliding surface 4A being a quenching object area. In addition, the deflector 26 is equipped with a ring body part 26A covering the circular recess 11b and a tongue piece 26B extending downward aslant toward the side of a lubricating chamber 6 in succession from this body part 26A, respectively. In this tongue piece 26B, its section is formed into being chevroned when it is cut off on a plane in parallel with both flat surfaces 26a and 26b of the body part 26A. With this constitution, a clearance between the highest part of an opening 28 and the lowest part of the circular recess is made enlargeable, through which any lubricating oil penetrated into the sealing chamber can be exhausted to the outdoors.

    • PURPOSE:To simplify the seal device pull-out procedure by forming an engagement part which is engaged with a case pull-out tool, on the internal face of the case annular groove of a seal member which seals between a housing and a case. CONSTITUTION:The clearance between a housing 1 and a case 2 is sealed with a sealing member 7. An annular groove 6 in which a sealing member 7 falls is formed in the case 2 and a retaining part 13 which retains a pull-out tool 12 is formed in the internal face of said annular groove 6. The retaining part 13 has a shallow annular groove formed on a small-diameter part 2b and the internal face and the small-diameter part 2b is tapered. The end face of the pull-out tool 12 has an engagement projection having a slit and able to be reduced axially in diameter. By the insertion of the tool 12, the engagement projection goes inward along the tapered face of the small-diameter part 2b and is increased in diameter by the shallow annular groove until engaged with the small-diameter part 2b. The pull-out of the case 2 may then be executed easily.
