    • A flexible wiring cable 60 connects a recording head 7 and a relay board, and includes COF (chip on film) 62 for connecting an output side wiring pattern of an IC chip 61 to the recording head 7, and general purpose FFC (flexible flat cable) 63 formed with a parallel wiring pattern. The flexible wiring cable 60 connects the output side wiring pattern of the IC chip 61 to the relay board 50 via FFC 63, thereby decreasing the use of more expensive COF 62 by the use of cheap, general purpose FFC 63. Thus, the product cost as the entire recording apparatus is reduced by using the general purpose flexible board for a part of a flexible board having a driving circuit mounted thereon and serving as a connecting means for connecting a recording means and a relay board, suppressing the manufacturing cost of parts for connecting means.

    • A pump exerts pressure on fluid that has higher saturation pressure than atmospheric pressure at room temperature in a fluid reserving chamber in a fluid tank. The pump is located near the fluid tank. The pump has a housing and a heat generating mechanism. The housing defines a pump chamber, a motor chamber and a communication passage between the pump chamber and the motor chamber and includes at least one introducing port for introducing the fluid from the fluid reserving chamber into the housing and a bleeding port located above the introducing port for returning the fluid from the housing to the fluid reserving chamber. The heat generating mechanism is located in the housing. The fluid circulates into the housing through the introducing port and out of the housing through the bleeding port for substantially reducing the temperature in the housing.

    • A device for rotating body windage loss reduction, capable of rotating a rotating body at a high peripheral speed in an environment at atmospheric pressure or close to atmospheric pressure while reducing fluid resistance loss at a low cost by making use of the conventional bearing technology, is implemented, thereby enhancing efficiency of an energy storage device such as, for example, a flywheel, and so forth. The device is provided with a rotating body held rotatably; and a covering rotating body installed on the outer side of the rotating body so as to enclose the same, held rotatably and coaxially with the rotating body. Further, optional plural numbers of the covering rotating bodies installed coaxially with the rotating body and covering the outer side of the device for rotating body windage loss reduction are provided on top of each other in sequence. Still further, bearing means are provided between the rotating body and the covering rotating body adjacent thereto or between the covering rotating bodies adjacent to each other, and bearings for the respective covering rotating bodies are disposed in series in relation to bearings for the rotating body. In addition, by filling up the interior of a case with hydrogen gas or helium gas, lower in density than air, windage loss can be further reduced.
