    • PURPOSE:To easily and safely form an electrically conductive homogeneous film with accuracy at a low cost by doping a phthalocyanine pigment electrodeposited on an electrode by a micelle electrolysis method with halogen or a compd. thereof. CONSTITUTION:A surfactant is dissolved in an aq. soln., micelle is formed and a phthalocyanine pigment is dispersed and suspended in the soln. and solubilized with the micelle. A proper electrolyte is added to the resulting micelle soln. and electrolysis is carried out to electrodeposit the pigment on an electrode in the form of a film. In the above-mentioned micelle electrolysis method, the pigment on the electrode is doped with halogen or a compd. thereof by putting the electrode with the electrodeposited pigment in a halogen-contg. soln. and carrying out electrolysis. Halogen may be dissolved in the micelle soln. and electrodeposited on the electrode together with the pigment. A film of the phthalocyanine pigment contg. uniformly dispersed halogen is selectively and surely formed by treatment in the aq. solns.

    • PURPOSE:To enhance the image quality of an MIM color liquid crystal display element by using a specified organometallic compound as the second layer of a protective film. CONSTITUTION:The multicolor layer is formed on a transparent base 21, on this layer a transparent organic material layer 23 is formed as the first layer of the protective film, on this layer 23 as the second layer of the organic film is formed the organometallic oxide layer 24 obtained by dehydrating and condensing the main constituent of the organometallic compound represented by structural formula M(OR)nR'm-n (each of R and R' is an organic chain containing H; (m) is the number of the valence of the metal M; and (n) is an integer), further on this layer 24 as the third layer of the protective film is formed an oxide layer 25 by sputtering, and on the 3 layers of the protective film a transparent electrode having a specified pattern is formed, and finally, an orienting film 27 is formed by coating, thus permitting the color liquid crystal display element of the MIM (metal-insulator-metal) active matrix system to be obtained.

    • PURPOSE: To facilitate the formation of transparent electrodes having prescribed patterns on colored layers by forming the colored layers on a substrate and forming layers of org. silicon compds. expressed by formula thereon. CONSTITUTION: A modified acrylic layer is formed by spin coating on the glass substrate 11. Prescribed patterns are formed by a resin layer photolithography stage and thereafter, the independent parts are successively dyed to red R, green G and blue B by acidic dyes. A protective layer 13 is formed on the colored layers 12 obtd. at this time by dehydration and condensation reaction of the mixture composed one or >=2 kinds of the org. silicon compds. expressed by formula, colloidal silica of 10 to 1000 grain size and perchlorate as main raw materials. In the formula R is an org. chain having 1 to 6C hydrocarbon group, vinyl group, methacryloxy group or epoxy group; R is 1 to 5C hydrocarbon group, alkoxyl alkyl group or hydrogen atom. There are no cracks on transparent electrodes 14 having prescribed patterns and the protective film layer 13 in the stage when this protective film 13 is provided thereon with the transparent electrodes 14. As a result, the formation of transparent electrodes is facilitated.

    • PURPOSE:To increase the effective voltage to be applied on a liquid crystal layer and to improve image quality by forming transparent electrodes of prescribed patterns on the layer formed by subjecting the org. metal compd. expressed by the constitutional formula of a metal M, org. chain R contg. hydrogen and integers (m), (n) to dehydration condensation and further to dyeing. CONSTITUTION:The layer which is to be dyed and is formed to 0.3-100mu thickness on a transparent substrate by the dehydration condensation reaction of the org. metal compd. having the constitutional formula expressed by M(OR)nR' m-n is dyed with a sublimatable dye and thereafter, the transparent electrodes of the prescribed patterns are formed thereon. The metal in the constitutional formula is expressed by M, the org. chains contg. hydrogen by R, R', and the integers by (m), (n). The degree of dyeing is low and there is no practicability of the thickness of the film to be dyed is =100mu. The effective voltage to be applied on the liquid crystal is, therefore, increased, by which the image quality of the liquid crystal panel is improved and the cost is reduced.
