摘要： A 4-stroke cycle engine with EGR system equipped with a particulate filter, an external EGR system, and an exhaust valve sub-lift type internal EGR system is provided. With the engine, reduction of NOx emission by EGR can be achieved without incurring deterioration in engine durability by enabling operation of the engine with proper EGR rate all over the operating ranges of the engine through making it possible to compensate for reduction in EGR amounts due to reduced DPF pressure difference which occurs when recovering operation of the DPF is performed.

摘要： An optical access network method, an optical access network and an optical switch for an optical access network, capable of solving all the three problems in the conventional GE-PON: transmission distance problem, security problem and communication interference problem. The optical access network comprises an OLT, a plurality of ONUs and one or more stages of optical switches, which are connected one another. In the direction from the OLT to the ONU, each frame (packet) transmitted from the OLT to one of the ONUs is checked so that only the destination ONU specified in the frame (packet) is connected to the OLT. In the direction from the ONU to the OLT, a control message transmitted from the OLT to one of the ONUs is checked so that only one ONU which has been given a transmission allowance from the OLT is connected to the OLT with respect to each frame (packet).

摘要： A magneto-optical disc includes a substrate, a recording layer, and a protective coating comprised of a resin and a lubricant. The disc is operated for magneto-optical recording in a magnetic field modulation mode such that the protective coating is in sliding contact with a magnetic head. The lubricant is a higher fatty acid ester R.sup.1 --COO--R.sup.2 wherein R.sup.1 is a saturated or unsaturated aliphatic C.sub.10 -C.sub.30 hydrocarbon residue, and R.sup.2 is a saturated or unsaturated aliphatic C.sub.10 -C.sub.30 hydrocarbon residue. Alternatively, the protective coating is formed by curing with radiation a composition containing a lubricant and a radiation-curable compound such that micropores are locally formed in or near the outer surface of the protective coating, the lubricant being distributed in the micropores. In either case, the protective coating is effective for minimizing friction with the magnetic head.

A process for the production of poly(phenylene sulfide) fibers, which comprises melt-spinning a poly(phenylene sulfide), stretching the resultant unstretched filaments at a draw ratio of 2:1 to 7:1 within a temperature range of 80.degree.-260.degree. C., and heat-treating the stretched filaments for 0.1-30 seconds under conditions of a take-up ratio of 0.8:1 to 1.35:1 in a dry heat atmosphere exceeding 285.degree. C., but not exceeding 385.degree. C., is also disclosed.

摘要： Disclosed herein are poly(arylene thioetherketone) fibers obtained by melt-spinning a thermoplastic material which comprises 100 parts by weight of a melt-stable poly(arylene thioether-ketone) (PTK) and optionally, up to 50 parts by weight of at least one of thermoplastic resins. The PTK has predominant recurring units of the formula ##STR1## wherein the --CO-- and --S-- are in the para position to each other, and has a melting point, Tm of 310-380.degree. C., a residual melt crystallization enthalpy, .DELTA.Hmc (420.degree. C./10 min) of at least 10 J/g, a melt crystallization temperature, Tmc (420.degree. C./10 min) of at least 210.degree. C., and a reduced viscosity of 0.3-2 dl/g as determined by viscosity measurement at 25.degree. C. and a polymer concentration of 0.5 g/dl in 98 percent by weight sulfuric acid. The PTK fibers of this invention have high heat resistance and strength.
