摘要： To provide synchronizing methods, optical switch modules, center devices, remote devices, optical access systems, optical access networks, programs, and recording media in the optical access network which can give the connection start time of the upstream optical switching element of the optical switch module. To the optical switch module, ranging functions are provided and the center device OLU carries out ranging of the optical switch module OSM as is the case of ranging of the remote device ONU. The center device OLU transmits the difference between roundtrip time of the remote device ONU and roundtrip time of optical switch module OSM, which is the result of these rangings, to the optical switch module OSM, and the optical switch module OSM can obtain the contact start time of the upstream optical switching element by calculating the contact start time using the difference.

摘要： A color image processing system in which image data generated in other systems can be commonly used is disclosed. In the color image data processing system, an image processing unit processes color image data represented in a uniform color space system under illumination by a first light source, and the image data includes information relating to the first light source. An image output unit receives color image data represented in a uniform color space system under illumination by a second light source and produces color images according to the color image data. A correction control unit in the image processing unit judges whether or not the first light source coincides with the second light source. A correction formula calculating unit calculates a correction formula corresponding to the difference in characteristics between the first light source and the second light source. A light source difference correction unit corrects the color image data according to the correction formula.

摘要： A magneto-optical recording disc adapted for magneto-optical recording in the magnetic field modulation system by means of a magnetic head in continuous contact with the disc includes a recording layer on a substrate and a wear resistant resinous coating thereon. The coating is formed of a resin containing carbon particles having a mean particle size of 1 to 15 .mu.m. The magnetic head is in sliding contact with the surface of the coating during operation. The coating is effective for reducing friction with the magnetic head and retains such reduced friction over a long time.

摘要： A magneto-optical disc includes a recording layer (4) and a protective film (7) of radiation-cured resin on a substrate (2). Information is written in the recording layer with the aid of a magnetic head in sliding contact with the disc. In a first form, when the protective film is subject to a micro-vibration scratch test by setting the disc in a thin film scratch tester equipped with a diamond indentor having a radius of curvature R of up to 50 .mu.m, the relationship: 0.8.ltoreq.L/R.sup.2 .ltoreq.2.7 is met wherein L is the critical load (N.m) under which the thin film is scratched. In a second form, the protective film has a dynamic modulus of 5.0.times.10.sup.9 to 4.0.times.10.sup.10 dyn/cm.sup.2 at 100.degree. C. The disc is highly durable.

摘要： Disclosed herein are a poly(arylene thioether) block copolymer alternately comprising (A) at least one poly(arylene thioether-ketone) block having predominant recurring units of the formula ##STR1## wherein the --CO-- and --S-- are in the para position to each other and (B) at least one poly(arylene thioether) block having predominant recurring units of the formula ##STR2## (a) the ratio of the total amount of the poly(arylene thioether) block (B) to the total amount of the poly(arylene thioether-ketone) block (A) being within a range of 0.05-5 by weight, (b) the average polymerization degree of the poly(arylene thioether) block (B) being at least 10, and (c) said block copolymer having a melt viscosity of 2-100,000 poises as measured at 350.degree. C. and a shear rate of 1,200/sec as well as a production process the poly(arylene thioether) block copolymer. The invention also provides a stabilized poly(arylene thioether) block copolymer containing a basic compound either alone or in combination with an antioxidant.
