摘要： In an image pick-up device, a document, picture, OHP (Over Head Projector) film or similar subject is laid on a stage. While the subject is illuminated by a light source unit, the resulting imagewise reflection from the subject is picked up by a television camera and transformed to a video signal. The image represented by the video signal appears on a screen in a conference room or on the individual monitor in a communication conference. Light issuing from the light source unit and offensive to the eye is prevented from leaking to the outside of the device. This, coupled with the fact that irregularity in the illumination on the subject is reduced, insures a clear-cut image. Further, the device is easy to operate and protects the working environment from deterioration due to heat generated by the light source unit.

摘要： A mechanical seal is, at a sliding surface and at its vicinity, formed of a pore-dispersed cemented carbide, so that the lubricating characteristics can be improved and the strength maintained by strictly stipulating the magnitude, shape, and volumetric ratio of the pores, such that pores are contained in an amount of 0.5 to 20 volume %, formed in at least one shape selected from the group of a substantially spherical shape and a substantially cylindrical shape, the pores in the substantially spherical shape having an average diameter of 3 to 20 .mu.m, the pores in the substantially cylindrical shape having an average diameter of 3 to 20 .mu.m and an average length in the range from the average diameter up to 300 .mu.m, and that the pores are prevented from linking to each other to give a length greater than 2 mm.

摘要： A multi-projection display system is provided with a plurality of sensor units corresponding to projector units. The sensor units detect brightness for each color in a projected image that is projected on a screen and supply the detection results. The projector unit generates a brightness correction table on the basis of the image signal of a specific picture element of the projected image realized by an adjacent projector unit and on the basis of the brightness of the specific picture element of the projected image of the adjacent projector unit that is detected by a sensor unit for matching the brightness of the image projected by its own projector unit with that of the adjacent projector unit, refers to the brightness correction table to correct brightness for each color of the image signals that are received as input, and projects onto a screen the light of each color in accordance with the corrected image signals.
