摘要： PURPOSE:To provide the optical switch which does not generate optical axis misalignment in the optical juncture of optical fibers even if external stress acts. CONSTITUTION:A substrate 6 is provided with first fiber fixing grooves 8 and second fiber fixing grooves 9 each having an approximately V shape in section a slit 7 held therebetween in a direction orthogonal with the longitudinal direction of the slit 7 formed atop this substrate. The longitudinal extension lines of the first and second fiber fixing grooves 8, 9 are aligned to each other. The first optical fibers 2 are fixed into the first fiber fixing grooves 8 and the front end faces 2a thereof are arranged to face the slit 7 and are pressed by a cover plate 10. Step parts 13 are formed by partly notching the peaks of the second fiber fixing grooves 2. An optical fiber arranging member 3 is constituted to include the substrate 6, the first optical fibers (master side optical fibers) 2 and the cover plate 10. The second optical fibers 4 are introduced into the second fiber fixing grooves 9 by the transporting mechanism and are optically connected to the first optical fibers 2. The second optical fibers 4 are pressed by a fiber retainer 17 in the step parts 13 at this time.

摘要： PURPOSE:To provide the optical fiber position detecting mechanism capable of detecting the position of V-grooves in which optical fibers are positioned with simple constitution. CONSTITUTION:An optical fiber electrode 2 is formed of a conductive film as an electrode on the optical fiber 1. The V-groove 3 is provided with V-groove side electrodes 4 across the right and left wall surfaces. The optical fiber electrode 2 does not conduct to the V-groove side electrodes 4 in the state that the optical fiber 1 is not in contact with the V-groove 3. The optical fiber electrode 2 conducts to the V-groove side electrodes 4 in the state that the optical fiber 1 is not positioned in the V-groove 3. The V-grooves in which the optical fibers exist are, therefore, recognized by taking out the respective electrodes by lead wires and detecting the conduction state.

摘要： PURPOSE:To provide a noncontact type optical switch device which can precisely be aligned and the aligning method for optical switching by providing a control means which controls a parallel driving means so that a master-side optical waveguide moves in a displacement direction and its opposite direction. CONSTITUTION:A fine moving tube 1 constitutes a rotary driving means and a parallel fine driving means at the same time, an X-axial rough moving stage 21 and a Y-axial rough moving stage 22 constitute a switching driving means which is controlled with an external switch switching command, and a master- side optical fiber 31 penetrates its hollowed center part. The master-side optical fiber 31 is fixed to the tip of the fine moving tube 1 and is rotated or finely moved by the rotation or X-axial or Y-axial fine movement of the fine moving tube 1. Then an n-side optical connector 4 is arranged opposite the master-side optical fiber 31 and end surfaces of (n) n-side optical fibers 41 are exposed in its coupling end surface in array at a constant pitch.

CONSTITUTION:An optical switch is provided with a master side connector 3 having a master fiber 4 to emit signal light (lambda1) and an optical fiber 9 to project illumination light to a coupling edge surface 1c. Beam splitters 6 and 11 to couple the emitted signal light with the illumination light, a PSD (position detector) 13 and so on are provided in the master side connector 3. Though an image on the coupling edge surface 1c is formed in the PSD 13, since this image becomes a bright and dark image corresponding to a core part 1a and a clad part 1b, the master side connector 3 is set to be positioned relatively to an optical fiber 2 so that an image of the core part 1a can be positioned at a specific position of an image receiving surface 13a.

摘要： PURPOSE:To automatically grip a linear body by helically winding one piece of a wound grip on the linear body to hold it and moving the other piece of the grip in a lengthwise direction of the linear body while rotating the other piece of the grip around the linear body. CONSTITUTION:One piece 4a of a wound grip 4 is helically wound on a linear body 8. Another piece 4b of the wound grip 4 is folded back through a pulley 7 of a metal fixture 6 mounted to a side surface of a pole 5. The other piece 4b of the grip 4 is wound between the one pieces 4a of the grip 4 with an intermediate high roller 2a by turning spur gears B, B' and A through a spur gear C, driven by a motor not shown in the drawing, to rotate the linear body clamping part 1 about the linear body 8. Winding of the wound grip is completed by moving the linear body clamping part 1 in a lengthwise direction of the linear body 8 by a pinion H and a direct acting part 3, simultaneously by turning spur gears E, F, G. Thus, wound grip work is safely performed even in an elevated spot.
