An example apparatus includes a corona wire, and an excitation source to provide to the corona wire a composite signal having a direct current component and an alternating current component, the alternating current component having a cycle, a first portion of the cycle being sufficient to cause the composite signal to exceed an inception voltage at which ions are generated by the corona wire and a second portion to cause the composite signal to fall beneath the inception voltage, the excitation source to avoid causing the corona wire to substantially charge a substrate.

According to one embodiment, an imaging method includes accessing image data of an image to be formed; using the image data, controlling a print device to eject a plurality of droplets of a liquid marking agent corresponding to the image to be formed, wherein the droplets of the liquid marking agent individually comprise a plurality of ink particles; using the print device, ejecting the droplets of the liquid marking agent; after the ejecting, receiving the droplets of the liquid marking agent upon a transfer member; and after the receiving, transferring the ink particles of the droplets from the transfer member to media to form a hard version of the image using the media.

    • Imaging methods, imaging member charging methods, and image engines are described. According to one embodiment, an imaging method includes providing an imaging member having an outer surface comprising a plurality of portions having a plurality of different radii, rotating the portions of the outer surface of the imaging member adjacent to a charge device configured to provide an electrical charge to the imaging member which is usable for imaging, first controlling a position of the charge device with respect to one of the portions of the outer surface of the imaging member using the one of the portions of the outer surface at one moment in time, second controlling a position of the charge device with respect to an other of the portions of the outer surface of the imaging member using a positioning control system at an other moment in time, and using the charge device, providing the electrical charge to the one of the portions of the imaging member at the one moment in time.
