    • In an automotive floor panel assembly comprising a floor panel (1) stamp-formed of sheet metal and including a recess (21, 22) defining an upper concave surface and a lower convex surface, a compound longitudinal floor frame is formed by a lower reinforcement (24) extending longitudinally across a part of the lower convex surface of the floor panel and an upper reinforcement (25) extending longitudinally across a part of the upper concave surface of the floor panel. The lower and upper reinforcements include a first vertical wall having an upper edge closely following a contour of the lower convex surface a second vertical wall having a lower edge closely following a contour of the supper concave surface, respectively. The compound longitudinal floor frame is thus provided with a substantially constant cross section and extends substantially linearly over the entire length of the floor panel and hereby. Therefore, the height of a lowest part of the floor panel from the ground surface is prevented from being reduced, and the mechanical strength of the floor panel would not be compromised even when the floor pane is provided with a downward projection.

    • A linear actuator may include a driving part and a movable body. The driving part may include an inner yoke, an outer yoke disposed around the inner yoke such that a first gap space and a second gap space separated in an axial direction are formed between an outer peripheral face of the inner yoke and the outer yoke, and a coil for generating an alternating magnetic field in the first gap space and the second gap space. The movable body may be provided with a magnet that is disposed between the inner yoke and the outer yoke. The driving part may further include a coil bobbin around which the coil is wound and the coil bobbin is provided with terminals for power supply to the coil. The movable body is reciprocated in the axial direction in cooperation with the alternating magnetic field.

    • Upon recording fingerprints, a continuous fingerprint data recorder records, continuously, data about fingers of a person wishing to register.     • A number of embodiments of precombustion chamber configurations for two-cycle crankcase compression diesel engines. The precombustion chamber and its communicating throat are oriented so as to maintain a uniform fuel distribution in the precombustion chamber and to provide good flow into the main combustion chamber that will provide a homogeneous mixture without the flow being directed toward the exhaust port at the time the exhaust port is open. A number of embodiments show constructions that permit uniformity of tumble action in the precombustion chamber and a high velocity for the tumble action to improve turbulence and mixing. All of these factors go together to reduce NOx emissions.
