    • A vacuum deposition system comprises a vacuum vessel, an evaporation source holder provided in the vacuum vessel for holding an evaporation substance and a holding jig provided in the vacuum vessel for holding a substrate facing the evaporation source. An adhesion-prevention member is provided at outer peripheries of the evaporation source and the holding jig along an inner wall of the vacuum vessel across a region from a position facing a lateral part of the evaporation source holder to a position facing a lateral part of the holding jig. The adhesion-prevention member is spaced apart from the inner wall of the vacuum vessel. The adhesion-prevention member includes members slanted diagonally downward from the central part side toward the inner wall. Thereby, the adhesion-prevention member prevents an evaporant from the evaporation source from adhering to the inner wall of the vacuum vessel.

    • The invention provides a digital content delivery system appropriate for outputting a digital content in an easy-to-view layout to a user. A content delivery terminal includes a user information registration DB that stores a plurality of layout definition files defining output layouts of digital contents. When user information, including a destination address and a selection of an output layout, is input, the input user information is associated with the selected layout definition file before the input user information and the layout definition file are registered in the user information registration DB. Based on the layout definition file in the user information registration DB, the output layout of a digital content is determined, and the digital content is produced. The produced digital content is delivered to a destination address corresponding to the layout definition file used to produce the digital content.

    • A computer network server provides a customized newspaper to a recipient according to recipient profile preferences. The server searches for and obtains article content that is deemed to be of greatest interest to the recipient according to topical preferences, generates a representation of the selected content according to a layout preference, and delivers the representation to the recipient according to a designated schedule. Recipient preferences are received and stored in a profile database using facilities that assist a recipient to specify preferred topics, newspaper layout, delivery schedule and destination. Topical designations are mapped into hierarchical structures that facilitate searching content databases. Newspaper articles are arranged according to relative priorities of designated topics.
