    • An RFDE system includes an RFDE transmitter and at least one RFDE antenna. The RFDE transmitter and antenna direct high power electromagnetic energy towards a target sufficient to cause high energy damage or disruption of the target. The RFDE system further includes a targeting system for locating the target. The targeting system includes a radar transmitter and at least one radar antenna for transmitting and receiving electromagnetic energy to locate the target. The RFDE system also includes an antenna pointing system for aiming the at least one RFDE antenna at the target based on the location of the target as ascertained by the targeting system. Moreover, at least a portion of the radar transmitter or the at least one radar antenna is integrated within at least a portion of the RFDE transmitter or the at least one RFDE antenna.

    • A spatially-fed high-power amplifier comprises one or more shaped reflectors to reflect an initial wavefront, and an active array amplifier to amplify the reflected wavefront to generate a high-power planar wavefront. The shaped reflectors provide the reflected wavefront with substantially uniform amplitude when incident on the active array amplifier. The initial wavefront may be a substantially spherical wavefront, and the shaped reflectors may compensate for any amplitude taper of the initial wavefront to provide the reflected wavefront with substantially uniform amplitude components for incident on the active array amplifier. In some embodiments, the shaped reflectors may also contour the illumination to fit the shape of the active array amplifier to help minimize spillover.

    • A system configuration manager provides a graphical user interface that allows a system administrator to easily administer configuration settings for different computer systems and platforms on a computer network. The system configuration manager allows identifying one system configuration or a settings profile as a “model system”. Once the model system is defined, other computer systems may be compared to the model system. Differences between the selected computer systems and the model system are then displayed, and the system configuration manager may be used to update the selected computer systems with configuration settings specified in the model system. Cross-platform support is provided by a configuration mapping mechanism that maps configuration information from one platform to corresponding configuration information for another platform. The configuration mapping mechanism effectively hides the differences between platforms by translating the configuration information from a selected platform to corresponding configuration information for the model system.

    • The present invention is a method for constructing fully-compensating composite pulses of arbitrary accuracy that can correct pulse power errors to any desired order. The invention has two preferred embodiments, the Trotter-Suzuki (TS) embodiment and the Solovay-Kitaev (SK) embodiment. Each preferred embodiment can be represented by a mathematical algorithm, which can be easily implemented on a computer, for constructing a list of phases {φ1, . . . , φl} and rotation angles {θ1, . . . , θl} that amounts to a composite pulse. The pulses can then be used for nuclear magnetic resonance, quantum computing, or any other application based on pulsed excitations. The present invention, as embodied in the pulse sequences SK n and TS n, allows the user to transform a pulse sequence of error ε to a robust pulse sequence with error O(εn) for arbitrary n. The sequences can be implemented using any existing quantum computer or NMR hardware.
