CONSTITUTION:There are installed a background image memory part 2 and an actual image memory part 3 to store the image of background and the actual image, respectively, based on the signals obtained by an image input means 1 and a making-difference-binary means 4 to compute the difference from these two memory parts and make the difference binary at prescribed threshold. Also, there are installed a background rewriting means 6 to rewrite a part with the threshold and less of an actual image, which is made a binary image, in the background image memory part, an infrared ray sensor 7 to detect the temperature of the image with the threshold and more of the image made binary, and a second background rewriting means 8 to rewrite a part of the actual image, the part detected by the making-difference-binary means 4 and except a part from which the infrared ray sensor 7 sends out a prescribed output signal, in the background image memory part 2. As a result, while the image being renewed in the newest background at all times, only human body is extracted by the infrared ray sensor from the image extracted from the image made binary by the making-difference-binary means.

    • PURPOSE:To detect a satisfactory level of baking automatically, by lighting up an illuminant in pulse mode, and controlling a heater from the application of satisfactory baking detection signal. CONSTITUTION:When a cooking start pushbutton switch is depressed, a heater 7 or a magnetron 8 is turned ON. At the same time, a light emitting section 4 is adapted to irradiate a foodstuff 5 placed on a saucer 9 with light based on signals transmitted from a pulse generation section 11 by way of a penetration hole 3a. A control section 16 allows a light receiving section to receive a light reflected from the foodstuff 5 synchronously by way of a penetration hole 3b. Then, a satisfactory baking detection section 15 compares the light reflected from the foodstuff with the data stored in a baking finish setting section 13. A series of operations described above are carried out repeatedly at a fixed interval. When baking reaches a specified level, it is judged that the baking of foodstuff is finished. Then, a heating control section 15 turns off a power supply section 17.
