摘要： In an internet having a server for providing service, a client for receiving the service, plural proxy servers for standing proxy for an access to the server done by the client, and a proxy server selecting server for noticing an IP (Internet Protocol) corresponding to a domain name of the client in response to an inquiry with the domain name added thereon, the proxy server selecting server receives a request message with the domain name of the server for providing the target service from the client. Then, the proxy server selecting server notifies the client of the IP address of the most approximate server to the client in place of the IP address of the server, based on the physical/logical location information, and if necessary, the periodically obtained load information of the proxy servers. The client recognizes the proxy server of the IP address given thereto as the server for providing the target service and then makes access to the proxy server.

摘要： An improvement is proposed in a double-coated patterning plate, which consists of a substrate, an undercoat levelling layer and a photoresist layer thereon, as well as in the patterning method therewith. Different from conventional double-coated patterning plate in which the undercoat levelling layer is formed from poly(methyl methacrylate) resin, the layer in the invention is formed from a copolymeric resin of methyl methacrylate and glycidyl methacrylate in a specified copolymerization ratio and the resin is admixed with 2,2',4,4'-tetrahydroxybenzophenone. By virtue of the use of this unique resin composition for the undercoat levelling layer, the troubles due to intermixing between the undercoat levelling layer and the photoresist layer thereon can be avoided to impart the patterned resist layer with excellent properties.

摘要： In a network management system, information items respectively of connection relationships, containment relationships, and display priority of a plurality of managed object instances (resources) are stored in a memory. According to a predetermined algorithm, there is calculated an evaluated value for display for each of the instances depending on the containment relationship information and display priority to select a limited number of instances representable on a screen. Displayed on the screen is a network layout diagram including icons representing the plural instances thus selected. When the user specifies one of the icons, the specified instance and a number of representable instances selected according to the evaluated values from a group of instances under the specified instance in the containment relationships are displayed in a new network layout diagram on the screen. When a fault occurs in either one of the instances, if an icon of the faulty instance is being displayed on the screen, the color thereof is changed into a second color. If the icon is not displayed on the screen, the color of icons being displayed for instances as high-ranking resources with respect to the faulty instance in the containment relationships is changed into a third color.

A pair of electrodes are sealably disposed in a tube containing an appropriate amount of mercury. Means is provided for heating at least one of the electrodes for starting the lamp if it has been recently turned off and the mercury vapor pressure inside the tube is high. The heating means is preferably a filament made of a thermally stable material. One terminal of the filament may be connected to one of the electrodes.
