    • In an acceleration sensor for use in an automobile seatbelt system comprising a rolling body which moves when subjected to an acceleration, a cup-like receptacle member for supporting the rolling body on a sloping surface rising towards an outer periphery of the receptacle member, and a pivotally mounted actuator over the rolling body for triggering a web halting mechanism, wherein the sloping surface is formed with a plurality of radially disposed ribs, so that the rolling body is prevented from rolling around the sloping surface even when subjected to vibration from rough roads. The invention prevents the web belting mechanism from being triggered spuriously without diminishing the sensitivity of the acceleration sensor in a bona fide vehicular emergency situation.

    • In a webbing retractor, a spring member is caused to abut on a webbing takeup shaft to be rotated together therewith by a frictional force between the takeup shaft and the spring member within a range defined by rotation restricting means, locking means for preventing a webbing unwinding rotation of the takeup shaft is put in a released situation when the spring member is rotated in a direction of a webbing unwinding, and the locking means is put a locking situation when the spring member is rotated in a direction of a webbing winding. Accordingly, an occupant can be put in a surely restrained situation by the webbing when the webbing is wound on the takeup shaft in a slight amount after the webbing is worn on the occupant, though the webbing retractor has a simple construction.

    • A webbing retracting device that may prevent entering of an end-lock state when a spool rotates in the pull out direction on rebound just after completion of taking up of the webbing belt. A restriction weight is provided on a V gear. The restriction weight moves in the pull out direction relative to the V gear by acceleration when the V gear is rotated in the take up direction, and furthermore, the restriction weight pivots about a support pin under centrifugal force due to rotation of the V gear and attains a contact position. In such a state, even if the inertial mass attempts to displace toward the lock activation direction, the restriction weight interferes with the inertial mass and restricts displacement of the inertial mass toward the lock activation direction.
