摘要： PURPOSE:To disinfect air economically and effectively by holding anti-fungal compositions in a moist condition, which are formed out of silica gel while an aluminosilicate layer including disinfectant metal ions is formed on each surface of the minute holes of the silica gel, and thereby allowing air to be brought into contact with the layers so as to be disinfected. CONSTITUTION:A layer composed of an aluminosilicate is formed on each surface of the minute holes of silica gel which has been treated by an alkaline solution and an aluminate solution, following which, ion-exchangable metals in the layer are replaced with silver which is an essential ingredient, or silver and other anti-fungal metals, so that anti-fungal compositions are prepared out of silica gel as a base material. The anti-fungal compositions are then held in a moist condition so as to be disinfected with air diffused, and air is then dried. In this case, air can be, for example, dried by letting air pass through a column 2 in which desiccant is filled. With this constitution, air can be disinfected economically and effectively.

CONSTITUTION:Porous activated alumina having 0.4-1.2cm /g pore volume, >=20Angstrom , especially >=50Angstrom pore diameter and >=80m /g, especially >=100 m /g is treated with an alkali solution and a silica-containing solution to form a coating film of aluminosilicate containing metal capable of ion exchange (preferably having 1.3-30 molar ratio of SiO2/Al2O3) on activated surface of pores or macroscopic holes and metallic ion having bactericidal action is carried in the film of aluminosilicate by ion exchange. As the metallic ion having bactericidal action, metallic ion selected from Ag, Cu, Zn, Hg, Sn, Pb, Bi, Cd and Cr is used and made to exist in an amount of >=0.002mmol, preferably >=0.005mmol per 100cm surface area of the composition.

摘要： PURPOSE: To obtain a new crystalline antimicrobial composition comprising silicon dioxide-based crystal structure having excellent heat resistance and weather resistance as a parent body, containing a silver ion or mixed ions of it and a metal ion selected from zinc and copper and to provide an antimicrobial ceramic composition containing the crystalline antimicrobial composition. CONSTITUTION: This crystalline antimicrobial composition comprises crystalline silicon dioxide as a main component containing a silver ion alone or it and at least one antimicrobial metal ion selected from zinc and copper in a mixed state. The crystal form of the crystalline silicon dioxide is preferably a cubic form or a crystal form of cristobalite. The content of the crystalline silicon dioxide is at least 70wt.%, especially >=79wt.%. The composition has preferably 0.4-1.4 bulk density. The content of the silver ion is preferably 0.3wt.%. The composition is obtained by preheating an antimicrobial composition comprising a silica gel having an antimicrobial coating film of an aluminosilicate containing the metal ion on the surface of the silica gel as a parent body at 250-500 deg.C, removing most of water and then baking at 800-1,300 deg.C.
