摘要： A recording element substrate has a plurality of recording elements are provided, a wiring sheet is provided at a position to surround a periphery of the recording element substrate to transmit a recording signal to the recording element substrate, a wiring substrate is electrically connected to one end portion of the wiring sheet to input a recording signal from an exterior, and a flow path forming member supplies recording liquid to the recording element substrate. When the flow path forming member is joined to a frame body having a common liquid chamber, in a state in which the an end of the wiring substrate is supported by the flow path forming member, a liquid jet recording head is held due to opposing both end portions of another end portion of the wiring substrate being respectively inserted and engaged with a set of engaging grooves provided at the frame body.

摘要： An apparatus and method for accurately and rapidly correcting a printing characteristic of a printhead, a printhead whose printing characteristic is corrected by the above apparatus, and a printing apparatus using the printhead. In the apparatus for correcting the printing characteristic of the printhead, n kinds of printing control signal patterns are used to a full line printhead, printing patterns are experimentally printed in response to the printing control signal patterns on a printing medium and a reference density distribution is generated from one of n kinds of the printing patterns printed. Then, one of the n kinds of printing control signal patterns is selected for each of a plurality of printing elements such that a density value on each pixel is equal or close to the reference density distribution. In this case, a similar selection is carried out on another reference density distribution generated on the basis of another one of the n kinds of printing patterns, and an optimum one of the n kinds of printing control signal patterns is determined as correction data.

摘要： The invention relates to a nickel-base single-crystal superalloy applied to parts for industrial gas turbine or the like such as turbine rotor blade and stator blade which are used at high temperatures, a method for manufacturing the same, and gas turbine parts prepared from such nickel-base single-crystal superalloys, and more particularly the invention provides a nickel-base single-crystal superalloy consisting essentially of, in percentages by weight, 5% to 10% cobalt, 4.7% to 6% chromium, more than 2.0% to less than 3.5% molybdenum, 7.5% to 10% tungsten, 5% to 6% aluminum, 0.1% to 2% titanium, 4% to 5.5% tantalum, 1% to 4% rhenium, 0.01% to 0.2% hafnium, the balance being nickel and incidental impurities, which is excellent in high-temperature strength and high-temperature corrosion resistance, and further excellent in structural stability even in a long time use.

摘要： A recording element driving unit has an electrical connecting member having a support member of electrically insulating material and electroconductive members arranged on the support member. Each electroconductive member has one end exposed on one surface of the support member and another end exposed on another surface of the support member. A recording element substrate having recording elements is connected to one exposed end of at least one electroconductive member. A driving element substrate has driving elements thereon, and each driving element has connecting portions. The driving elements are larger in number than a number of driving elements electrically connected to the recording elements and are fewer in number than the electroconductive members. The driving element connecting portions are disposed at a pitch larger than a pitch at which the electroconductive members are arranged, and each driving element connecting portion is connected to the other exposed end of at least one electroconductive member.

摘要： An ink jet head for discharging ink comprises a plurality of elemental substrates having a plurality of discharge energy generating elements arranged in line for discharging ink, a grooved member having a plurality of walls joined with the plurality of elemental substrates arranged to constitute ink paths for each of the discharge energy generating elements, these ink paths being formed by joining the walls of the grooved member under pressure with the plurality of elemental substrates thus arranged, and among the plurality of walls, a plurality of ribs formed on the bottom of each wall arranged on each boundary between elemental substrates, and configured along this boundary line to abut upon each of different elemental substrates, respectively. In this way, any gaps and steps existing between the elemental substrates are sealed by the ribs formed for the walls of the grooved member when this member is joined with the elemental substrates under pressure, thus preventing any ink leakage from such gaps or steps, and also, suppressing the pressure wave cross talk between ink paths in order to perform recording in good condition.

The flow of the medium inside the cap member from the supply path to said discharge path is constricted by a protruding portion in the cap member, which protruding portion is disposed in the cap member such that the discharge port is spaced opposite the protruding portion when the discharge port region faces the cap member, and the medium flows along the discharge port region such that a negative pressure is generated for drawing recording liquid from the discharge port into the flow of the medium.

摘要： A color display has a transparent cover glass having a color stripe filter; a translucent data film located in proximity to a face of the color stripe filter to overlap and display image information; a writing device for writing the information to the data film; an erasing device for erasing the written information from the data film; a writing-erasing controller for controlling operations of the writing and erasing devices; a winder for selectively feeding the data film in normal and reverse directions by forming the data film in a web shape, and winding the data film; a controller for controlling an operation of the winder; and an illuminating device for visualizing these information toward a viewer. In this color display, an image written to the data film can be completely erased rapidly and it is possible to obtain an image having a high quality and a very preferable contrast without any shift in image color. Further, data films can be efficiently exchanged and the color display has a simplified structure and is cheaply manufactured.
