    • An image forming apparatus according to the present invention is provided with a document table provided on a housing for resting a document thereon; an exposure lamp provided under the document table for exposing the document rested on the document table; a pulse motor for moving the exposure lamp to optically scan the document; a photosensitive drum provided in the housing and carrying a latent image thereon corresponding to the image impression of the document; an optical mechanism for guiding the light reflected from the document to the photosensitive drum through an optical path to form the latent image on the photosensitive drum; a CCD image sensor provided in the optical path for reading out the image impression of the document and generating signals representing the image impression; and a liquid crystal display unit provided on the housing for displaying the image impression of the document, based on the signals from the CCD image sensor.

    • An image forming apparatus and method in which a scanner scans a document and prduces an image signal. The image signal is stored in a memory. Image formation and control are provided so that the first copy is produced from the scanner output and subsequent copies are produced from the signal stored in memory. For forming a color image, the image signal is converted into at least two color component signals. The full color copy is formed by superposing a plurality of single color images on each copy paper. The first single color image is produced from the scanner output and the subsequent single color images are produced from the color component signals stored in memory. Where more than one copy of color image is desired, the subsequent copies are all formed from single color images produced from the color component signals stored in memory.

    • To stably perform cutting process even on a workpiece formed from a brittle material, in a ductile mode with high precision, without causing cracking and/or breaking in the workpiece. A dicing device which performs cutting process on a workpiece includes: a dicing blade that is formed into a discoid shape from a diamond sintered body formed by sintering diamond abrasive grains, and contains 80% or more of the diamond abrasive grains; a spindle (rotating mechanism) configured to rotate the dicing blade; and a movement mechanism configured to move the workpiece relatively to the dicing blade while forming a constant cut depth on the workpiece by the dicing blade.
