By a microcomputer (multitarget control means) M1, from a present elevator state, a time required for elevation to each floor, the weight of an elevator during running are predicted, and through integration of evaluation of a waiting time, a time in which persengers go up or down in an elevator, and the degree of crowdedness in a cage, an optimum elevator is selected. The waiting time control means of the microcomputer M1 evaluates a waiting time, and an elevator optimum to a waiting time is selected. When, from signals from the microcomputers E1-E4 to control respective elevators, maintenance or a trouble is detected, group management control is varied from a multitarget control means to a waiting time control means.
