    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To decrease the restriction on execution by eliminating a stopper part arranged between a pair of base members and arranging an opening to a side surface only on one side of a cabinet. SOLUTION: Instead of a stopper part 9 arranged between a pair of base members 5 (rail central part), an opening 7 is arranged to a side surface on the one side of the cabinet. The fixing method of each of the base members 5 is that the one edge on the opening 7 side is fixed by screws 10 to the edge part of a rail 6 and as the other edge of the base member 5 on the other side of the opening 7 cannot be reached by hands and the screws 10 cannot be used 7, it is pushed in along the rail 6 to be pushed into a stopper part 9 arranged to the edge part of the rail part 6 in advance and fixed, and each of the joining parts between a pair of base members 5 (central part of rails 6) is has the structure of wedge shape. Therefore, an air conditioner can be installed with the condition the space for extracting a blower unit 8 to either side of the left and the right of the air conditioner cannot be secured by the trade off with beams in the space of a ceiling plenum.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To minimize the leakage of refrigerant gas by performing the operation to recover the refrigerant by an outdoor unit in an air conditioner where the refrigerant such as fluorocarbon is used. SOLUTION: In a refrigeration cycle in which an outdoor unit A is connected to indoor units B, C through refrigerant pipes 13, 14, a refrigerant gas sensor is provided on each of the indoor units B, C. When the refrigerant gas leaks from the indoor units B, C, refrigerant recovery operation is performed in a state where a control valve 9 is closed and circulation of the refrigerant gas to the indoor units B, C is stopped. Refrigerant recovery time is determined by the capacity, etc., of the indoor units B, C, and the operation is completed by closing a control valve 10 after the refrigerant recovery operation is performed for a prescribed period of time. During the refrigerant recovery operation, the refrigerant bas returned from the indoor units B, C enters the indoor unit A from a stop valve 12, and stored in a refrigerant quantity adjuster 5 after the gas passes through an accumulator 6, a compressor 1, a four-way valve 2, an indoor heat exchanger 3, and an outdoor flow rate control valve 4.
