Deodorant or antiperspirant stick (S1) in the form of oil-in-water dispersion/emulsion comprises: (a) at least one lipid or wax component with a melting point 50[deg]C, which is not to be apportioned to the components (b) or (c); (b) at least one non-ionic oil-in-water emulsifier having hydrophilic-lipophilic balance (HLB) value of greater than 7 within the emulsifier mixture with an average HLB value of 10 - 19; (c) at least one non-ionic water-in-oil emulsifier with HLB value of more than 1 to =7, chosen from the mono- and di-esters of ethylene glycol and the mono- to tetra-esters of pentaerythritol with linear saturated and unsaturated fatty acids with 12 - 30 (preferably 14 - 22) carbon atoms, which can be hydroxylated, as well as their mixtures, as consistency providers and/or water binders; (d) at least one oil, liquid at 20[deg]C, which represents neither a scent component nor essential oil, where the average solubility parameter of the contained oils differs in the presence of linear saturated fatty alcohols with a chain length of at least 8 carbon atoms by a maximum of -0.7 to +0.7 (cal/cm 3>) 0> .> 5>, and in the presence of water-in-oil emulsifiers, which are different from linear saturated fatty alcohols with a chain length of at least 8 carbon atoms, linear saturated fatty alcohols with a chain length of at least 8 carbon atoms being absent, by a maximum of -0.4 to +0.7 (cal/cm 3>) 0> .> 5> from the (average) solubility parameter of the water-in-oil emulsifier(s); (e) at least one water-soluble polyhydric 2-9C-alkanol with 2 - 6 hydroxyl groups and/or at least one water-soluble polyethylene glycol with 3 - 20 ethylene oxide units; (f) water in amount of 5 to less than 50 wt.%, relating to the total composition; and (g) at least one deodorant or antiperspirant active substance. An independent claim is included for manufacture of the deodorant or antiperspirant stick (S1) involving heating of the wax and oil components along with the oil-in-water- and the water-in-oil emulsifier(s) to 90 - 95[deg]C and melting; heating water to 90 - 95[deg]C and adding along with the water-soluble active substances and ingredients, under vigorous stirring; optionally mixing further ingredients, cooling the mixture to a suitable filling temperature; filling into suitable dispensers and solidifying at room temperature by static cooling (without further stirring).

Independent claims are included for: (1) a cosmetic, non-therapeutic procedure for decreasing body smell, comprising applying a cosmetic deodorant and/or antiperspirant composition on the skin, preferably on the skin of the arm-pits; and (2) a procedure for the production of a deodorant or an antiperspirant stick comprising heating the wax and oil components, the oil-in-water and/or the water-in-oil-emulsifying agent to 90-95[deg]C and melted; subsequently heating water up to 90-95[deg]C with the water-soluble active substances and further ingredients are added under strong agitation; optionally further adding ingredients; cooling the mixture to a suitable filling temperature; filling the mixture in suitable dispenser molds and solidified by static cooling (without further agitating).
