    • PURPOSE:To raise a throughput of recording by reducing idle time by a method wherein whether ink of a block in recording is sufficiently fixed or not by natural drying until discharge of paper is ended, is discriminated based on a number of measured blocks and a recording density of each block, and fixing control with a fixing device is performed only for the block which is discriminated not to be sufficiently fixed. CONSTITUTION:A control part 102 inputs a density data showing each block recording density of a recording data of a 1 sheet part from a data transfer device 101 and stores in a RAM 102. A number N of total blocks to be recorded and a number B of high density blocks are recognized from this density data. Total time T1 to be required from start of recording one sheet to discharge of paper is obtained, and natural fixing time T is compared with total time T1. If T

    • PURPOSE:To prevent paper under feeding from being braked or jammed by a paper feed roller by providing a control means for rotating a paper feed roller drive motor until the initialization of the paper feed roller for a paper feed action is completed. CONSTITUTION:When a paper is in a feed waiting state, the paper is fed upstream of a predetermined initial position, i.e., a position of separation claws 12, 13 of a cassette case 11, a feed amount required for feeding the paper into a recorder is reduced, and the resulting small rotating amount of a paper feed roller 22 causes a control ring 253 to fail to reach its initial position. To prevent this trouble, a controller controls a motor 23 so that the paper feed roller 22 can necessarily rotate at least twice. Namely, if a paper feed is completed before the paper feed roller 22 rotate twice, the motor 23 is so controlled as to keep rotating until the control ring 253 returns to the initial position for ensuring that the control ring 253 is always return to the initial position.

    • PURPOSE:To inhibit a paper feed action when a paper feed is not required by mounting a carriage travel control means for retracting a carriage from a position for engaging with a paper feed trigger means during the carry action by a carry means. CONSTITUTION:When a carriage 6 travels beyond a recording area and a pressing member 36 moves to reach a position for abutting against a locking claw 28, the locking claw 28 rotates to separate a claw part 28A from a locking ring 27 and turn ON a spring clutch 26. In this manner, a cam 24, a separation roller 22, and a pressing roller 23, which rotate integrally with a separation roller shaft 21, are rotated by a drive force transmitted through a separation roller gear 25. One rotation of the separation roller shaft 21 makes the clutch again in ON states. In this construction, when a paper feed is not required, e,g., during an initial action at the time of turning ON a power, a paper feed action can be inhibited.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce waste consumption of a recording agent used in a recorder and to raise a total throughput by providing a means that issues a recovery instruction for instructing execution of a recovery means for a printing element based on a monitoring result of a monitoring means that monitors a printing condition in the recorder. SOLUTION: Printing data to be printed is developed by a data developing section 7 in a data transferring device 1 and it is judged whether or not a time when data is lastly transferred to an ink jet recorder 8 is stored in a work area [A] (4a). After the time is read from the work area [A] and a present time is read from an RTC 5, a difference between the present time and the time stored in the work area [A] is calculated and it is judged whether or not the difference is greater than a predetermined time period. When the difference is equal to or greater than the predetermined time period, a recovery instruction is outputted to the ink jet recorder 8, then the recorder 8 executes a recovery operation for a recording head in accordance with the instruction from the data transmitting device 1.

    • PURPOSE:To conduct a no-load delivery of a recording head in an efficient manner to improve a throughput by actuating a no-load delivery means always at optimum no-load delivery intervals in accordance with the environment of the recording head. CONSTITUTION:A no-load delivery of a recording head 1 is conducted under the following conditions : a no-load delivery interval T1 is 10 seas. when an atmospheric temperature in the vicinity of the recording head 1 is lower than 15 deg.C, and a no-load delivery interval T2 is 30secs. when the atmospheric temperature is 15 deg.C or higher. For example, upon completion of printing for one line, an MPU 81 makes a RAM 83 receive an atmospheric temperature in the vicinity of the recording head 1 outputted from a thermistor 11 through an A/D converter 85 and compares the current atmospheric temperature with an atmospheric temperature 15 deg.C for changing over a no-load delivery interval prestored in the RAM 83. If the atmospheric temperature is lower than 15 deg.C, a new time (t) stored in the RAM 83 is compared with a no-load delivery interval 10 secs. If the time (t) is 10 secs. or more, the MPU 81 instructs a non-load delivery of the recording head 1.

    • PURPOSE:To improve a recording quality and to raise the temp. of a recording head to a predetermined value in a short time by a method wherein a heating value generated from heating element is changed correspondingly to a difference between a detected temp. and a set temp. in the recording head. CONSTITUTION:Recording heads 1 (1A-1D) mounted on a carriage 2 are provided with an electrothermal conversion body as a delivery energy generation element, wherein an electric energy supplied thereto is converted to a thermal energy to generate a bubble in ink. The ink is delivered to conduct recording. On each of the recording heads 1A - 1D, a temperature detection mean 4 and a heating element 5 for keeping a temperature at a predetermined value are provided. In addition, an air blowing means 7 is driven to cool the recording heads 1A - 1D. A head temp. t1 is detected by the thermistor 4 and compared with a set temp. T. If T>t1, a heating value is changed in proportion to a temp. difference DELTAT and supplied to the recording head 1. If T

    • PURPOSE:To remove problems such as stains of a next page or the like by minimizing length of waiting time after discharging paper of a medium to be recorded by a method wherein the case where an area having a recording density exceeding a specific value exists in a recording data, a next record is reverse for the time corresponding to a position at which the high density area exists. CONSTITUTION:When a high density part exists in a recording sheet, time for which execution of a next recording command is reserved after discharging paper is varied according to a position at which it exists. On supposing that, for instance, a Kth part is a last high density part 3, waiting time after discharging paper comes to be calculated by adding one page content recording time X (K-1)/N to minimum fixing time T1. When recording time corresponding to length of discharge opening arrangement is taken as (t), t= one page content recording time/N is obtained. Further, since recording speed is supposed to be constant irrespective of height of recording density in the sheet, time(t) is a value capable of being preliminarily established. Time TK for which execution of a next recording command after discharging paper is reserved when the high density part exists in the sheet can be expressed by the formula TK= T1+(K-1)Xt.
