摘要： A processing system and a recording/reproducing system for a digital signal including a digital video signal and a digital audio signal are disclosed. Upon transmission, the digital signal is transmitted after time-base compression and modulation. The transmitted signal is received and demodulated. In the case where the signal is to be transmitted to a plurality of recording/reproducing systems, address signals designating ones of the plural recording/reproducing systems and a control signal for controlling the start/stop of recording are transmitted. The recording by the recording/reproducing system is controlled so that it is made with the same format in either normal-speed or high-speed mode or in either normal or multiple recording mode.

摘要： A silver-metal oxide composite material comprising a silver matrix or silver-copper alloy matrix containing 50% by weight or less of copper, (a) from 0.5 to 25% by weight, in terms of elemental metal, of an oxide of at least one element selected from the group consisting of Mg, Al, Zr, Ca, Ce, Be, Th, Sr, Ti, Cr, Hf and Si, and, optionally, (b) from 0.01 to 5% by weight, in terms of elemental metal, of an oxide of at least one element selected from the group consisting of Bi, Pb, Cd, Zn, Sn, Sb, Mn and iron family metals; the oxide of the (a) element and, where present, the oxide of the (b) element being dispersed in the form of fine particles with a particle size of not more than about 0.1 .mu.m uniformly throughout the matrix from the surface to the core thereof; and process of producing the composite material using oxidation under the conditions in which a liquid phase and a solid phase coexist.

The composite material is excellent in physical and chemical strengths at high temperatures. The process can produce the composite product even with thick walls, within a markedly short time in high productivity. The composite material is useful as electrical contact materials and electrode materials for electric welding.

The Ag alloy before internal oxidation thereof contains Sn of an amount of 5-20 weight %, 0.5-15 weight % of which amount is in the powder form of SnO.sub.2. The existence of SnO.sub.2 particles in the alloy accelerates the internal oxidation speed, allowing oxygen to readily pass aside and between the particles, while the internal oxidation per se makes the alloy more dense by eliminating spaces between SnO.sub.2 grain particles on account of the volumeric expansion of Sn which results from the internal oxidation thereof.
