    • According to one embodiment, a power supply for lighting includes a rectifying circuit, a smoothing capacitor, and a current control circuit. The rectifying circuit rectifies a phase-controlled alternating-current voltage supplied to between a pair of input terminals. The smoothing capacitor is connected to a high-potential terminal and a low-potential terminal of the rectifying circuit. A first electric current flows to the current control circuit in a period when an absolute value of the alternating-current voltage is lower than a specified value. After a second electric current larger than the first electric current flows when the absolute value of the alternating-current voltage increases to be equal to or larger than the specified value, the current control circuit is shut off to reduce a current value to be smaller than the second electric current until the absolute value of the alternating-current voltage decreases to be lower than the specified value.

    • A switching power supply includes a first switching element, a rectifying element, a first inductor and a second inductor. The first switching element supplies a power supply voltage to the first inductor and al lows a current to flow when the first switching element is on. The rectifying element is connected in series to the first switching element, and allows a current of the first inductor to flow when the first switching element is turned off. The second inductor is electromagnetically coupled to the first inductor, a potential to turn on the first switching element is induced when the current of the first inductor increases, and a potential to turn off the first switching element is induced when the current of the first inductor decreases. The induced potential is supplied to a control terminal of the first switching element. The rectifying element includes a diode and a second switching element.

    • A first node apparatus includes: ports; a storage device; and receiving, updating, and transmitting circuits. The storage device stores: information associating, with first identification information identifying a first frame, information distinguishing a first port having been used as a destination port when the first node apparatus has transmitted the first frame; and information associating, with each node apparatus, state information indicating whether frame transmission from each port is feasible. The receiving circuit receives, from a second node apparatus, a second frame including second identification information. When the second identification information is identical with the first, the updating circuit updates the state information associated with a node apparatus being a destination of the second frame to make the state information indicate frame transmission from the first port is not feasible. The transmitting circuit selects a second port from which transmission of the second frame is feasible, and transmits the second frame.

    • To provide an envelope tracking type amplifier that has high efficiency and small fluctuations, an output unit supplies an output signal that is adjusted corresponding to an input signal to a power supply terminal of the amplifier. The output unit includes an analog amplifying circuit that amplifies the input signal; a digital circuit that selectively outputs a first voltage or a second voltage that is lower than the first voltage; and first and second output circuits. The first output circuit includes a first integrating circuit that integrates an output signal of the digital circuit; and a combining section that combines an output signal of the first integrating circuit and an output signal of the analog amplifying circuit and outputs the combined signal to a power supply terminal of the amplifier. The second output circuit includes a second integrating circuit that integrates the output signal of the digital circuit; a resistor having two ends, one end being connected to an output terminal of the second integrating circuit, the other end being connected to an output terminal of the analog amplifying circuit; and a load connected to the output terminal of the second integrating circuit. The digital circuit outputs the first voltage where a voltage applied at the one end of the resistor is lower than the voltage applied at the other end of the resistor and the digital circuit outputs the second voltage when the voltage applied at the one end of the resistor is higher than the voltage applied at the other end of the resistor.
