    • A liquid crystal cell is provided to improve heat resistance, mechanical properties, transparency and electrooptical properties, to lower pretilt angle to reduce surface roughness. A liquid crystal cell is prepared by coating a soluble polyimide resin for a liquid crystal alignment layer represented by the formula 2 and has a pretilt angle of 0.1-2.0 degrees, wherein l is an integer of 1-500. Preferably the soluble polyimide resin has an intrinsic viscosity of 0.1-1.5 dL/g and a weight average molecular weight of 5,000-150,000 g/mol and is dissolved in a solvent selected from dimethylacetamide, dimethylformamide, N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone, tetrahydrofuran, chloroform, acetone, ethyl acetate and gamma-butyrolactone at a room temperature.

    • PURPOSE: A polyamic acid derivative having an aliphatic ring-based side chain for a liquid crystal alignment layer is provided, to improve the heat resistance, the surface strength characteristic, the transparency, the pretilt angle of liquid crystal and the solubility of the polyamic acid derivative. CONSTITUTION: The polyamic acid derivative is represented by the formula 1, wherein n is an integer of 1-300. Preferably the polyamic acid derivative has an intrinsic viscosity of 0.3-1.5 dL/g, a molecular weight of 10,000-150,000, a glass transition temperature of 230-400 deg.C, a pretilt angle of 4-89.5 degree, and an imidization temperature of 200-300 deg.C. The polyamic acid derivative is soluble in dimethylacetamide, dimethylformamide, N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone, tetrahydrofuran, chloroform, acetone, ethyl acetate or γ-butyrolactone.

    • PURPOSE: A polysulfone-based nanocomposite material, a polysulfone-based nanocomposite material film using the nanocomposite material, a display substrate using the film and a packing material using the film are provided, to improve a gas barrier property.     • PURPOSE: A polyimide-based transparent low dielectric substance containing an alkoxysilane group and a polyimide-based organic/inorganic composite material prepared by using the dielectric substance are provided, to improve the transparency, the electric insulation property and the interface adhesive strength. CONSTITUTION: The polyimide-based transparent low dielectric substance is a polyimide resin represented by the formula 1, wherein R1 is an alkyl group or an aryl group; and m and n are an integer of 1-20, respectively. The polyimide-based organic/inorganic composite material is prepared by curing the polyimide resin of the formula 1 at a temperature of 200-300 deg.C. Preferably the polyimide resin has an intrinsic viscosity of 0.05-2.0 g/dL; and the organic/inorganic composite material has a dielectric constant of 2.0-4.0 and a transmittance of 90-99 % at a wavelength of 400-700 nm.

    • PURPOSE: A method for preparing polyimide foam is provided, which is widely applicable to insulating materials, sound absorbing materials and cushion materials and has good heat-proof property and fire-retardancy.     • 본 발명은 다수의 지방족 고리구조를 포함하는 신규 가용성 폴리이미드 수지에 관한 것으로서, 더욱 상세하게로는 다양한 구조의 지방족 고리구조가 포함된 신규 방향족 디아민 단량체와 방향족 테트라카르복실산 이무수물을 사용하여 내열성, 용해성 및 투명성이 우수한 새로운 형태의 폴리이미드 수지와 이를 제조하는 방법에 관한 것이다.
      즉, 기존 폴리이미드 수지의 제조에 사용었던 방향족 디아민 대신 새로운 구조의 디아민을 단량체로 사용하여 여러가지 종류의 방향족 카르복실산 이무수물과 반응시킴으로써 뛰어난 내열성 및 우수한 용해특성을 가지는 신규 폴리이미드 수지를 제조하였으며, 그 결과 얻어진 중합체들은 260 ∼ 410℃의 유리전이 온도를 나타내었으며, 두 페닐 그룹 사이에 치환된 지방족 고리의 갯수가 증가할수록 내열성은 증가하는 특성을 나타낸다. 또한 각종 유기용매, 즉 m-크레졸, N-메틸피롤리돈, 디메틸아세트아미드 등에 상온에서 조차 쉽게 용해되는 뛰어난 용해특성을 나타낸다.
