    • PURPOSE: A cyclic prefix length detecting apparatus and a detecting method are provided to efficiently and exactly detect the length of the cyclic prefix in a communications system of the OFDM(Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing) mode. CONSTITUTION: A plurality of cyclic prefix length explorers(100,200,300) receives the received signal from a transmission device. A plurality of cyclic prefix length explorers searches the length of the different cyclic prefix for the received signal. The normalizer(400) receives and normalizes a plurality of search results received from each of a plurality of cyclic prefix length explorers. The normalizer outputs a plurality of normalized values. A cyclic prefix length decision unit(500) decides one among the normalized values with the cyclic prefix length of the received signal.

    • PURPOSE: A method for estimating channel under channel environment in which interference of neighboring base station exists in a wireless communication system and a device thereof are provide to maximally enhance existing probability of reverse matrix within channel estimation result, thereby reducing interference within receiving signal. CONSTITUTION: A unit block generating unit(11) divides PUSC(Partial Usage Sub-channel) clusters into unit blocks. A pilot matrix configuration unit(12) configures pilot matrix by each unit block. A channel estimation unit(13) estimates channel through pilot subcarrier signals. A reverse matrix determining unit determines the existence of the inverse matrix of the covariance matrix related to the channel estimation result to the pilot matrices. In case of the inverse matrix does not exist, the matrix inverse determining unit indicates the configuration of the new pilot matrix to the pilot matrix configuration unit.

    • An apparatus and a method for controlling power are provided to control the transmitting power of a terminal in the outside of an FLR(full loading range) by applying power concentration gain according to a distance between a base station and a terminal to a transmitting signal of a modulator. An apparatus for controlling power in a communication system comprises a power amplifier(400), a power controller(500), and a gain controller(200). The power amplifier amplifies transmitting power of a transmitting signal. The power controller controls a gain of the power amplifier using a receiving signal. The gain controller measures a distance between a transmitter transmitting the receiving signal and the apparatus for controlling power, and applies a power concentration gain according to the distance to the transmitting signal.
