摘要： The present invention relates to detecting the relative methylation levels at one or more CpG sites on a nucleic acid molecule, by using the methylation specific primer extension reaction (MSPE). MSPE uses an agent to modify unmethylated cytosine at a CpG site to uracil and subsequently amplify the chemically treated nucleic acids. The MSPE primers distinguishing between unmethylated and methylated CpG sites are provided to conduct MSPE. Relative methylation levels at one or more CpG sites are performed by detecting the signal intensity of labels incorporated into the MSPE reaction products.

摘要： Gravity induced flow cell. The flow cell includes first and second reservoirs having a selected volume containing a flowable redox electrode. A membrane separates charged and discharged material. An energy-extraction region includes electronically conductive porous current collectors through or adjacent to which the flowable redox electrodes flow and to which charge transfer occurs. Structure is provided for altering orientation of the flow cell whereby gravity induces flow of the flowable redox electrode between the first and second reservoirs to deliver power. By varying the angle of the cell, flow rate and power delivered on discharge or the charge rate on charge may be varied.

摘要： Improved gain control for a digital signal processing (DSP) repeater, such as a bi-directional repeater, is disclosed. A repeater includes a back-end subsystem which comprises, for each channel in a set of wanted frequency channels that are amplified by the repeater, a coupler (314) arranged to provide a monitor signal corresponding with an output channel power level. A feedback loop (306) receives the monitoring signal, and incorporates a power control circuit (308) that compares the monitored output channel power level with a predetermined maximum output signal level (310). A corresponding control signal is generated, and provided to a variable attenuator (304) in order to maintain the individual output channel power level at or below the maximum output signal level (310). Advantageously, a DSP output level control function (404) is also provided, which maintains the output signal level of each digital channel below a maximum rated value for a digital-to -analogue converter (402). It is also advantageous to provide a front-end subsystem (420) including a variable gain attenuator (424) that is controlled by a signal (430) generated by a digital processing element (428) that monitors an output of an analogue-to-digital converter (426), in order to maintain an IF signal level at the analogue-to-digital converter input below a predetermined threshold value. An improved frequency stability control apparatus (600) and method (800) are also disclosed.

摘要： An LED lamp scattering heat swiftly by exchanging currents mainly constructs multiple channels interleaved in heat scattering areas among fin units of a cooling device. At least one first hole is defined on a wall of each channel for assisting the channels in communicating with the heat scattering areas. Accordingly, the exterior air is introduced from the channels into an accommodating chamber of a seat body of the LED lamp. Thence, a fan installed in the LED lamp further blows the exterior air and the wasted heat of the LED unit to cause a current exchanging effect. Whereby, the wasted heat is efficiently expelled from the LED lamp, which increases the heat radiating efficiency and the using life of the LED lamp and remedies restrictions on installations of the LED lamp for expanding the lamp application.
