摘要： Provided is a refractory for casting which contains clinker having a mineral crystal phase consisting essentially of mullite and baddeleyite. The refractory for casting has excellent in a thermal-shock resistance, corrosion resistance and strength. The refractory for casting is manufactured from a raw material containing a refractory composition and an organic binder, wherein the refractory composition comprises (a) 3 to 60 wt % of clinker having a mineral crystal phase consisting essentially of mullite and baddeleyite, and containing 5 to 22 wt % of alumina (Al2O3), 38 to 68 wt % of zirconia (ZrO2) and 27 to 40 wt % of silica; (b) 5 to 40 wt % of at least one carbon-based material selected from the group consisting of graphite and carbon; and (c) at least one refractory element as a balance, selected from the group consisting of alumina, fused silica, zirconia, silicon carbide, mullite and a metal silicon.

摘要： A susceptor for use in an in-line or continuous deposition of a film on a silicon wafer by a CVD process, which comprises Si-SiC ceramic containing 7% to 25% by weight of metallic silicon having a high purity. The susceptor has enhanced mechanical strength and dimensional stability and can normally be used repeatedly a large number of times. Further, by using such a susceptor a uniform film can be deposited on the silicon wafer by the CVD process, and a silicon wafer can be coated with a film having desired electrical properties by the CVD process without contaminating the silicon wafer.

An electric discharge is designed to occur through a small space between two charged electrodes, which are a workpiece and a tool, so that at each discharge a small amount of workpiece material is removed, producing particles which are suspended in the work fluid. A settling tank is connected to the work tank that receives and stores the work fluid and a filter container containing a ceramic filter is connected between the clean work fluid tank and the settling tank, so that the work fluid which is supplied from the settling tank passes through the ceramic filter and so that work fluid which has not been filtered is sent back to the settling tank.

摘要： PURPOSE:To reduce production-running cost and release of polluting gas, by placing a cylindrical unit covering the outer periphery of a crucible and drum part thereof on a crucible cradle on a rotating shaft inserted from the lower opening of a chamber. CONSTITUTION:A rotating shaft 3 is inserted from the lower opening of a chamber 1 and a crucible cradle 4 consisting of isotropic carbon is fixed to the upper end of the rotating shaft 3. A cylindrical unit 6 covering the crucible 5 made of quartz glass and the outer periphery thereof is placed on the cradle 4. The cylindrical unit 6 consists of a carbon composite material prepared by winding carbon fibers into a cylindrical form, impregnating the carbon fibers with a resin and firing the impregnated fibers. A Si raw material in the crucible 5 is then melted by a carbon heater 7 and a seed crystal 13 is dipped in a Si melt 10 and pulled up to pull up a Si single crystal 14. The production cost of the cylindrical unit 6 is reduced and hardly broken by this device. Even if the cylindrical unit 6 or cradle 5 is broken, only the part may be exchanged. Furthermore, since the isotropic carbon is used only in the part of the cradle 4, a bad influence of occluded gases on the single crystal is reduced.
